Just looking for the basic info, bottle count, cost, bottles per and more importantly if anyone has trade for it recently what it took.

    Thanks in advance

Original price was $27.50 for each 100% barrel-aged variant. I couldn't find a definitive bottle count via google or The Bruery's blog, but I think I can find an answer later tonight after I get home.

Oh man, how helpful it would be if we had the old forum threads.

I read a thread that cosmicevan started and another that had a rough estimate on bottle count but neither mentioned what it took to get land one.

I was referring more towards the factual information, not the trade value information.

However, there was a guy who tried unsuccessfully a number of times to trade serious whales for a Rye. Real whales, not anything from GI or Central Waters or BA Abraxas.

Do you know if RS members were able to buy multiples or one of each etc?

My impression was that you could buy whatever, but there were less than 200 sold of each, probably closer to around 120. Bruery never responded to my email inquiry about my Rye, so I don't know for sure.

Did you originally buy the rye or trade and if you traded for it would you mind sharing what it took.

250 bottles of each variant, half of them stayed at the Bruery according to a post on Ratebeer.

I recall one of these have a bottle number in the 260s and the other two were numbered under 200, but I don't recall for sure.

There was no Reserve Society back when Papier went on sale. You had to go to the old Bruery tasting room and purchase "allocations," which were printed coupons you had to bring back to The Bruery when the bottles became available.

I think you could buy multiples, but very few people did. Remember, this was the pre-Black Tuesday Bruery. It had a lot of local fans, but few were thinking of buying multiple bottles of an unproven beer at almost $30 apiece.

Got a friend who tells of buying a case of BT 09 during those pre-hype times.

    From The Bruery Briefing 3/12/2009

The three bottle limit was total, not per variant. So if you wanted each you only got one. The Bourbon version sold out before the release date.

Thank you so much for bringing these to Top Hops, Mike. You out did yourself in that tasting!

jesus... honestly, what would it take for any of these? i have a regular papier, but as a true "fanboy" of the bruery (and a major fan of these anniversary beers) i think i'm going to need one of these... probably bourbon haha

damn my only being around after the bruery was the BT Bruery haha.

I traded for a set of the three barrel aged Papiers last year. I think I traded Veritas 004+Deviation+Cable Car 2010 for them. It's not easy to find someone with all 3 who is also willing to trade them.

Bois will come this year in all 3 variants, plus I believe 2 new ones. If you care about trying the beer at it's best and not just the walez-tick, you're better off getting this years versions of Brandy/Rye/Bourbon/French Oak/etc as so far they've been getting better each year, as the Bruery has gotten better. (ie- BA Fruet > BA Cotton IMHO).
