Beer Dreams

Only daydreams. Lots of them.

 

Had a Pliny and BCBS with Paul McCartney once.

 

I had a dream that got to try a Dirty Horse but it was eating said Dirty Horse in the form of Swedish Meatballs.

 

Had a dream that I was finding insane whales at my local store. I stocked up on everything they had and put it all away at my house. I woke up the next morning super excited! Wait they don't carry that beer there!

Noooooooooooo!

 

I can't believe this post showed up...I just had a short beer dream last night.

I walked into what looked like an ice cream parlour, only to find one man sitting at a cafe table. He was drinking some port or stout from a weizen glass. The glass was painted in the Stone Oaked Arrogant Bastard logo, but the words on the glass instead read "Pliny the Elder." Interesting because I've never had either beer (and obviously neither is a stout).

The guy sipping the brew looked kind of like Gabe Kaplan, but for some reason, I thought he was the terrorist Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. End of dream.

Clearly I've been spending toom uch time on BA.

 

I had a dream last night that The Alchemist started shipping to Illinois and I waited outside my local bottle shop for the truck to get there. When it arrived I took a couple of cases of Heady Topper right from the truck and directly to my fridge, and didn't even have to pay for them. Like my Jai Alai dream that I had last week, this was another one of those where I woke up to the disappointment that HT is only available way out east

 

A few weeks ago I went to Vermont an a beer vacation...then I woke up and had to go to work

 

Keeping with the VT theme, I have had multiple versions of a dream where I open up empty Heady Topper cans, one after the other. Of course, I once dreamed I was bathing in HT, so it all evens out.

 

I had a dream I got an email from Shaun saying I made it in the Collected Works.

 

I had a dream I pissed myself, work up to ten fidy in my lap and all over the couch.

 

Funny you post this today... Last night I had a dream I was at a music festival with my friends/sister and realized we were somehow within range of buying Founders beers and Pliny the Elder. I left the festival, grabbed the beers from a liquor store and returned to the group bearing gifts of world-class malty and hoppy goodness. Then I woke up realizing I've still never tried Pliny The end.

 

Ever had a real or fictional beer in your dream that really stood out? Remember any flavor profile, name, location, or any of that? It's a really abstract thread to start, but I'm certain y'all have experienced this before haha.

I remember opening a package with a surprise "Rum BA Marshmallow Zhukov with Graham Crackers". What is this? Whatever it was, it was incredible (from what I recall).

Anyone have anything they remember from a beer dream? Haha

 

I don't recall tasting anything. But I do dream about those boxes on the front step feeling like a kid on Christmas morning. Real life or dreaming... I love those days.

 

I routinely have dreams about going to the store to get beer "x" before it's out...and wake up extremely disappointed.

 

Kind of like a dream in which you win the lottery, hey?

 

I had two separate BCBS dreams on Black Friday.

I was in a store by myself with all of the variants in front of me but couldn't decide which ones I wanted and by the time I decided on one of each, the store filled up and I didn't get any.

I then woke up and didn't even bother trying to find any because I hate lines and waiting.

 

I didn't dream about having a beer, exactly, but I did dream (just last night!) about reviewing beers on BA. Does that make me an addict?

 

I dream all the time about drinking Pliny the younger out of Heidi Klum's belly button

 

I sometimes get beer dreams, but it's normally me trying to figure out a new homebrew recipe... I never get to the tasting stage
