Guys I need your help. I picked up a bottle of Sucaba around what I am pretty sure was before the release of 2013. So I kind of assumed it was left over 2012 which I thought was awesome. I was organizing my bottles last night and realized there isn't a year stamped on the box like I see on so many other pictures. So my question is, is there a bottled date, or any form of ID on the bottle itself that my horrible eyes are missing?

Your going to laugh when you realize the year is printed on the label in red towards the bottom.

    (on the bottle.)

Not positive, but try bottom left corner of label on bottle. Should be there.

I *think* if there is none it should be pre-'12.

On the label there should be a number saying Reserve Series No. 00x. If the x is a 1 then it was 2011, 2 for 2012, and 3 for 2013.

If it's an '11 it will say Abacus, not Sucaba, so you can rule that out.

not that you guys care, but an update: I am an idiot and apparently blind. But the bottle is a 2012. Funny enough, I bought the bottle about a week before the 2013 was released.

Pick up another one. Drink one now. Drink one later. Much later.

^^^^ This is good advice. Sucaba ages very gracefully for at least a year.

My 2012 boxes did not have a date on the box. However, the 2013 boxes have 2013 clearly labeled on the box front.

If it is your first and you can't get another then drink it now, otherwise you will have nothing to compare the aged one to.

I could get another one, but I don't think I'm willing to throw down another $16 for 22 ounces of the same beer. I suppose I'll drink it soon then. Maybe make it my review # 500? I was saving The Dissident for that, though.

That's it. I am having Sucaba tonight. I love this beer. I don't know why I always trade them away to get "less good" beers.

The cool thing is if you drink it now, and somehow don't like it, you can skip buying one to cellar altogether.

Dont even open one now. I got a few and threw the rest into the closet really fast after drinking the first one. It's great but i know it'll be much greater
