    I believe that's a bottle of the 2013 version which was what I was referring too!

    the '13 was fantastically balanced! I have another one cellaring and will do a side by side with next years release. I hope to have the will power to wait that long!

    Actually a little lighter in color than shown above - you can see a different side to it in this lighting:

    Probably not a typical BSDA in the Chimay (Blue), Maudite, and Gulden Draak style - very light feel, sweet date and fig flavors predominate, very juicy beer with very little bitterness and no tang or musk. I happened to really enjoy it, but it suited my particular flavor likings (for example, I am not a big fan of the Chimay Blue, but I like DFH's Raison D'Etre; Allagash's Odyssey is probably my favorite, while Gulden Draak is my "classic"). So take that for what you will.
    I would certainly buy this again.

    Usually my drive is 30 minutes, 20 if I'm going straight from work. The past two nights the bridge has been stop and go the whole way and its taken closer to an hour. I'm down in st Pete, you?

    I thought you weren't a hophead??? I still have 8 from my 12/27 batch that I need to drink asap, and 12 from last week. Also looking to bring back some pliny from the business trip to San Fran.

    I am not a hophead. Maybe on a good day 1 in 10 IPA/DIPA I like, but I will try anything. Sometimes being open minded is rewarding.

    On the end of my 2nd 4 pack and only a case to go.... Hopefully that gets me to next year, I doubt it though! Hard to believe this is only 8.5%, drinks and feels bigger, but I am glad it is so I can enjoy it so frequently!
