I had a Verhaeghe Duchesse De Bourgogne last night and it blew my mind how good it was, is this a good example of the Sour style? If it is considered one of the better examples of the style I need to search these out and was wondering if any of you guys had suggestions on ones that are easier to obtain I'm from Ohio. Also here are the list of ones I know I can get any suggestions on which ones to stay away from?

    Rodenbach
    Petrus Oud Bruin
    Monk's Cafe Flemish Sour Ale
    Ichtegems Grand Cru
    Petrus Aged Pale
    Liefmans Goudenband
    Liefmans Cuvee Brut
    Jolly Pumpkin Weizen Bam
    Bockor Bellegems Bruin
    Bacchus
Sierra Nevada Russian Riv BruxBockor Cuvee Des Jacobins Rouge

Thank you in advance to anyone who answers.

Brux is good but not really sour. I would grab Rodenbach and Petrus. You should also be able to find Lindemans Gueuze Cuvée René.

Yeah, Brux is not sour at all. Bought if for the wild ale thinking it would be sour. It's crisp, and fresh tasting.
Definitely tasty. Not sour. Cascade makes some sour stuff, and if you're in RR's distribution, Supplication is delicious

First of all, there isn't a "sour style." There are different beer styles that are sour. However, the Duchesse is a great example of a Flanders Red.

Do you happen to get anything from Russian River? Pretty much all of their beers ending in "ion" are terrific and are relatively easy to find...assuming they distribute to your area.

I'm curious as well, and not sure if OP's question has been answered.
Is Duchesse De Bourgogne a good example of the Sour style?

I also just had one, and enjoyed it quite a bit - just not sure if I'm ready for anything > sour than that is.
I have a RR Consecration in my cellar - how will that compare to the Duchesse De Bourgogne?

    Thanks!

Petrus is easily one of my top ten favorite brews. Not just top ten sours, but top ten beers. Get it, drink it, worship it.

Anything Jolly Pumpkin, BOON, Hanssens, and Oud Beersel. I have found that these are great lambic styles. Duchess is a Flemish sour, so I find it's not as sour as Wallonian lambics, but maybe it's just me.

Seriously, this beer is awesome. One of the most reasonably priced and accessible sours out there and one of the tastiest as well. Also, it's a wonderful palate cleanser to sip on if you're having a tasting of big stouts, barleywines, etc.

I recently had the cuvée des Jacobins, and it was really tasty. I would have to agree that if you can find Russian River in your area buy it, it's worth it.
