I recently acquired a lente through IP trade. I am more into BA stouts and BWs. I know this beer is no longer produced but trying to figure whether I should drink it or trade it for some quantity of good stuff

If you don't care for sours trade it. You can get the $$$ value of it off Etré Gourmet. I am sure you can land some very nice Stouts and/or Barleywines with it if you trade it.
If you like sours drink it.
    2 very simple options

If you haven't tried it yet you should definitely drink it. One of my favorite beers of all time! If you don't like sours/lambic then you should probably trade it to me or someone else who is willing to give up BA stouts and barleywines. Not sure what the current value or if you can still get in online from a Belgian site. Probably worth around $50-60 worth if the beers your looking for.

I enjoy sours every now and then but really havent had a wide array of them. I feel like my sour palate isnt developed or sophisticated enough to really enjoy this world class sour to its fullest. And since I probably will never have another one again I would just like to get my fair value for it.

Keep it and save it. Drink it in the future. your developed palate then will thank you

One of my awesome trading partners who is a walez bro slayer sent me one and said it is one of the best ever. Maybe he said the best. That means it goes nowhere. Pregnant wife needs to deliver - SO I CAN DRINK THE THING. ( she loves sours )

Hasn't been available online except as part of the whole set for a while so should trade pretty much $4$. It is also the absolute best beer I've ever had, so my advice is keep it and drink it.

You just traded for it and you are wondering its value? What did you trade to get it ?

Easily a couple bottles off of your Wants, $4$. Ann and a couple of the rare stuff on page 2 of your Wants may be closer to 1:1 or Lente + others to obtain.

Jeez, 2012. You get a bottle in a trade, and you come on here, and ask "what can you get for it?" Why not get back what you traded for it in the first place. Just drink it, you haven't even had it before. Isn't that why you traded for it? Twenty Twelvers Twenty Twelving I tell ya.

It trades fine but why in the world did you trade for a bottle that you knew you didn't want?

It was part of a huge package of stuff that we put together so I cant really say what exactly its value was in the trade cause there was like 20 bottles included on each side. The other trader was being generous by giving me one cause I hooked him up in the past with stuff he wanted and thats why I dont exactly know the value of it and not twenty twelving, just looking for a basic idea not criticism.

The value was that it was that he hooked you up with a great bottle and maybe he hopes you would enjoy it? Try the beer, trust me.

So it was an extra. Just a head's up - many traders consider it bad form to re-trade extras. That's a very expensive bottle that he shared with you (very good one too), so you should probably at least try it yourself.

(As an aside, I love that twenty twelving it has become a self-referential term. )

You guys are talking me into drinking this one. There are just so many beers I want to try out there but sounds like this one could be at the top of the list. Might have to crack it open and share with someone.

Ya I hear you but I do a lot of trading for him as well and he knew I might use it to get us some more good stuff. But he agrees I should try it as well so will probably just do that. All about the twenty twelve
