Iron Maiden wears Iron Maiden t-shirts on stage. They're the only band in the world that can pull that off.

Metallica and Iron Maiden crowds are similar- fans are always wearing their gear.

In general, I try not to. One time I did, by accident- it was a spur of the moment trip and I happened to be wearing that shirt - another customer thought I worked there and started asking all these questions and stuff.

Bear Republic gives you happy hour pricing so long as you are wearing brewery attire of any kind. Support for the craft industry is support. No rules, wear what you want, this isn't sports... it's beer, which we all come together over through love and passion for a superior product my friends.

As one who attends MANY shows a year and has MANY shirts in 3 drawers I had no idea there was a rule. So I just saw Neil Young and Crazy Horse last fall (twice in 2 nights mind you)-it was a faux paux to wear a classic Fillmore East Neil Young shirt? Damn...I been doing it wrong for years.

I own absolutely no clothing with the brand name visable, so why would i advertise otherwise. The only exception is Lost abbey and that cool little cross they have as their logo. But that's different... that's art!

To me this is one of those "things people worry about instead of just enjoying the beer". Wear a shirt, don't fret.

And the only times I've been mistaken for a brewery employee and asked to fill a growler, I was not wearing the matching shirt.

Ha! That's why I answered Doesn't Matter/No Rules- once it's "vintage', all bets are off . My only concern these days is whether they still fit!

What about beer logo shirt worn to a beer fest ?
Opt for the most obscure brewery you have ?
Go with the popular trendy beer of the moment or throw on Bud light t-shirt for shits and giggles

    My rules for brewery clothing:

    1. Wear no more than 2 items of brewery stuff.
    2. Do not wear 2 pieces from the same brewery.
    3. Do not wear generic brewery gear to the brewer's event or venue. Only "special event" swag allowed. Example: FFF Zombie Dust hoodie to the anniversary party is a no go. DLD jacket is good to go since it signifies attending a certain event. Generic Bruery shirt a no go to brewpub, but RS hoodie is fine.
    4. Abide by or break any of the rules on a whim, because really... who cares? These are just my personal opinions and I could give a shit less if someone else thinks its cool or douchey. My mom will think I'm awesome no matter what.

I wear my 2012 Bruery RS hoodie everywhere since it's nice and warm, but honestly, if I had an equally warm and cozy hoodie, I'd probably wear that instead.
