lol..Ill take some blame for the Hijack..

 

How do you not know if a beer is infected when you drink it? It would seem as though it would be fairly obvious whether the taste was something close to what they were going for.

Maybe next time he drinks a Short's beer, he should make a thread titled "Does This Look Infected?"

 

What I have taken away from this thread:

All Non-MI beers > Some MI beers > Greenbush > The Rest of MI beers > Short's

Is my reading comprehension on the right track?

 

I think you are right on but what do you think about this....

Michigan breweries are among the most overrated and that is due mostly to the homers over valuing their locals. In order to be overrated the general public opinion has to be favorable regarding the beer and this general opinion has to be held by those outside of Michigan as well. I can only conclude that Michigan has the most influential beer drinkers on this site.

"All Non-MI beers > Some MI beers" what did I miss in this thread? All means all. Every state has ones that excell, and those that just stay in business.

A good friend who is one of the best brewers I know stopped at Greenbush on the way back from Chicago on Sunday, and recommends it. So I need to go back and see for myself.

 

You missed nothing. Apparently, me suggesting that MI breweries as a whole get too much credit, and that CA, CO, and OR are better beer states on the whole, is the same thing as me saying all non-MI breweries are better than all MI breweries.

 

Certainly you understand a bit of sarcasm and hyperbole.

Can't speak for much else of Greenbush other than the growler of Dunegräs I picked up on my way back to Chicago was pretty damn good. Will stop back in for more on a next trip over to MI.
