Early in my craft endeavors I was all IPAs, didn't really enjoy stouts much. Sooo long story short I went out to get 120 Min for the first time after they had to dump it and at the same time CBS was released, I wound up not buying any CBS (even when they asked me if I wanted a bottle).

I had a friend over a few weeks ago who shared this same sentiment, it is about a different generation. Guy is strict coors light guy I told him I didn't have anything but Hopslam and he would not like it he said he would try it ended up absolutely loathing it and drank every drop. I told him to pour it he said he grew up not wasting anything. Since then he tried a Lindemans Peche and loved it ever since that night everytime I see a bottle I buy it for him because I felt bad about the Hopslam...the expression on his face after every sip and he drank it all. I've never drained poured since life may be too short to drink beer you don't like, but it isn't that short.

HA! I just did the same thing. Went to a bottle share featuring 20+ whales, and I brought a Voodoo Doughnut (for the sake of trying something unusual) and a Sorachi Ace. I should have just kept them in my fanny-pack.

Only a wimp would submit to voluntary punishment. At the end of the night, you can be the one who's sloppy drunk on shit beer, and I'll be the one banging that bartender with the big tits on my fluffy pillows with my elistist ****.

Way back in that day I bought SN Bigfoot because it was "funny and looked cool." Pounded three, straight from the bottle, not knowing the ABV.

I frequently drain pour. If I don't like something, then it is just alcohol, not a beer to me.

+1. If you never have the intent to drain pour, then why would you feel bad about doing it? Drinking beer isn't your job, it's your hobby.

It's cool. First world and all, I sometimes wish i wasn't so easy to please. Also I dont just do trial and error much, I have a good beer counsil as well as ratings here to refer to. But something that says bacon maple on the bottle would go against all my judgement anyway. You all should enjoy your life how you see fit, i'm just observing differences. I know i'm weird.

I was searching out Bourbon County 2011, two places i stopped at had King Henry. I passed on it because i didnt like barley wines. Actually I still dont, but I now know I like Bourbon Barrel Barleywines, and King Henry isnt really a barley wine, it is something magical.
