Why is that sad? Bourbon Hatchet is a local beer, it should be easier to get than something not distributed here.

Edit: or is it sad because you are implying that a fairly-limited draft-only release was easier to get than its current, widely-distributed bottled brethren?

 

Honestly, never had any trouble getting any BH variant other than coffee, and that's because I had no idea where it was. Sour was interesting, but needed some serious carbonation to it.

 

Specs Arbor Walk only had 6 bottles left at 5:45. They started with 3 cases.

 

And Sunrise sold out of their 1 case already, but expects more next week.

 

Specs off 105 has it. I just picked up 2.

 

I think I'll have to pass on this one. Expensive beers are starting to hurt the wallet.

 

Don't worry about passing on this one, although I would seriously KILL to try a bottle of it before they blended the beer

 

Is this really that expensive? $12/500ml = $18/750ml which is right up the there with other small batch barrel aged porters/stouts/barley wines. Raspy was 18-21 for the same 500ml.... I'm not seeing this as a huge burden and when you factor in case prices, it's even less.

I may pass @ $15/bottle though unless it was my only hope and it was just 1.

 

Did SS ever state what kind of barrels the Black Crack was aged in?
