Best Double IPA You've Had

    From the few DIPA's I've tasted (mainly west coast style) I know for sure I'd like to try some more from a wide variety of breweries... Where should I start?

    Lawson's Double Sunshine is tops for me. Hill Farmstead Double Galaxy and Society&Solitude #4 are close behind. Then HF Abner, Surly Abrasive, Heady Topper, and Pliny.

    best? thats too tough to tell. I can give you a cluster at the top:
    Pliny, Heady, Columbus Brewing Bodhi.

    Favorite:
    Yea thats Great Lakes Lake Erie Monster and Alchemy Hour.

    PS ive got Abner coming this weekend.

    3 Floyds - Dreadnaught
    Russian River - Pliny the Elder
    The Alchemist - Heady Topper

    Heady. Only had it once, but going on a roadtrip for more in the spring.

    Alchemy hour from great lakes has really impressed as of late.

    Hard to say, given the popularity of the style. The first to come to mind is Ruination 10th, but that's not available anymore. On shelves right now, probably Palate Wrecker. Alpine/New Belgium Super IPA was awesome, hope they do it again.

    Had CCB Humidor Dry Hopped DIPA at Huna Day recently. I'd buy it all day if it were on shelves.

    Lots of competition in that style, but most of them are mediocre at best.

    X2. Stone Enjoy By is my favorite beer. Love the Bootlegger's Knuckle Sandwich as well ... I admittedly still have many, many Imperial's left to try though.
