Ipswich IPA is well balanced & available in NJ. Try one of the mixed 12-packs with the Oatmeal Stout.

dark horse double crooked tree. If its too hoppy, just sit on it for a while and try again, but its pretty balanced to begin with.

I'm in the same boat as the OP. Wasnt a huge fan of IPA's until I started venturing into DIPA territory. A lot have strong malt backbones which makes them more flavorful and less bitter IMO. Currently in love with lagunitas sucks. Cant get enough of that stuff.

Also a lot of people mention DFH 90 minute. But really any of their beers. Theyre all malty.

It's a DIPA but I think Sucks is very well balanced

DIPA's- I love me Double Jack from FW. Nugget Nectar is quite balanced too.

I'd say Two-Hearted is the horse to bet on.

Took a sip of Flower Power and immediately thought that it had a huge malt backbone compared to any other IPA I have ever had...

Flower Power. Fairly easy to obtain in NJ when released.

After having my first Two Hearted, I'd definitely say this is pretty well balanced IPA.

I think lagunitas Maximus is a pretty accessible, malt-forward IPA.
