I have a few of these above, and the ones I use most often are these:

I have an antique opener that some one sent me as an extra that looks just like this, except it says, "Enjoy" on the top and "Holihan's Ale" on the bottle. It's easily my favorite opener because it doesn't damage caps at all!

KitchenAid FTW. Sharpie shown for perspective. My college roommate gave it to me as a birthday present. I've been using it exclusively ever since. Showed it to my dad who said, "You could rip the neck off the bottle with that thing".

I dont collect them, though I thought about it...just another thing to collect dust (even if I do something productive with them)

I understand completely. I have 50 different collections sitting in boxes, but at least they keep the dust off of the ground. In the garage.

I didn't want any beer branding on my keychain, so I have been carrying this.

Best opener, ever... if you are trying to save/keep your caps in near perfect shape.

They can't be (unfortunately), these came out of my wood shop and were made for some friends and family members as gifts. I have a stash of exotic wood and once the weather warms up the saw will start kicking in again (I'm done working in cold environments, much easier to roll the power tools into the driveway and not to mention not the dusty clean-up afterwards!). This is something I do in my spare time for enjoyment and if you're interested, shoot me a beer mail and we'll work something out. (I just do it for giggles and for the love of woodworking / creativity, it's a great outlet.)

Thanks for posting this up Feuo, I hadn't seen this on the FW site before. And after I saw this yesterday I figured what the hell... I'm no jzeilinger, but I have all the stuff in my garage to make this, so I made one and it really does work great. It didn't crease the cap at all, just lifted the edge out a little.

I'll post some pics later if anyone is interested.

Pics, Parts list and detail of your creation. I've been looking for an opener that doesn't bend cars(besides a cig lighter).
