Was there when in Portland and Liked the Adam From The Wood best....however....if you want grandly complex...Canadian Breakfast Stout or one of the variants of Jackie O's Oil Of Aphrodite are the heavy hitters.
The Black Walnut finish of Oil Of A on top of a heavy, complex stout...rocks...and they have done it Rum Barrell,Bourbon Barrel and Kopi Luack Coffee (my fav). Dark Horse's Double Crooked Tree, was a VERY complex DIPA. Alas...it's above the line now for import to Ohio....about 13%. Dark Horse HAS done a triple IPA...Super Juice that's even more intense but has not been bottled. It's a BEASTY hop bomb. Jackie O's Mandala Citra was as intense of a hop bomb as I'd seen lately and I did at least get to score a growler of that. I'm fond of Citra Hops big, bright but pretty complex. Several Barleywines struck me as very complex...but they tend to be fussy about temperature and can be rather rough. A BA Stout can be complex in it's way....but many are mainly your normal big stout with some wood and bourbon, and some are tasty in rather small doses but I'd pass on having a few glasses.

Great Lake's Eliot Ness is one Lager I'm quite fond of,and what's special is that it's got sort of a classic "beerness" but also some impressive details. It's always available here, nice price, and I could drink many in an afternoon of watching ball games.

I always thought the combination of hoppy and roasty made Black IPAs pretty complex.

We recently had the most complex beer I have tasted of the almost 2000 or so I've tried. In fact it is hard to imagine beer is capable of having more delicious and complex varieties of flavors than Mikkeller Nelson Sauvignon. This list is culled from a few reviews:

    crabapple
    tangerine
    apricot
    grass
    funk
    honey
    juniper
    citric
    grapefruit
    wine
    pear
    lime
    oak
    pine
    caramel
    cheese

Lmdo! Brownie points for the intended sarcasm! Worded that perfectly as though you were trying to sound smart and dumb at the same time.. Hands down the most simple yet complex reply to this thread. Just saying lol..

On topic though.. Abyss, Rochefort 10, and I'm gonna have to give credit to Consecration cuz no one else has
