Definitely interested to see what rum barrels do to an imperial stout. Such good stuff coming from Indeed these days, I would be shocked if it was anything other than exceptional. Can't wait to try!

This sounds like it could be pretty damn good. I've never had any beer yet aged in rum barrels. I agree with KWMiles, in my interest in what rum barrels could do to an impy stout.

Unger, you're a hot mess tonight!

Lucky for you all, I'm in the middle of a short sabbatical from consuming...giving the ol' liver a break.

There is a sign at the brewery next to the barrels that says...

    Rum King Imperial Stout
This beer is aging in 20-year Appleton Estate Rum Barrels from Jamaica

Anyone heard anything further on the rum barrel stout?

They have mentioned releasing Haywire at Hullabaloo Oct. 12, but I can't find anything on the stout since March's tweet.

I just had the opportunity to try one of these at an imperial black Friday event in St. Paul. It was part of an impressive lineup of various RIS, including '12 Darkness and '12 Bourbon County and was able stand its ground with these juggernauts. It was an interesting variant, much more fruity than I would have expected. Not boozy at all
