Is it just me or are there getting to be a ridiculous number of different styles of beer glasses? Also the more different kinds of glasses they make the fancier they seem to get the Teku glass from 3 Floyds is the best example I don't think we need a glass that fancy or that breakable how is this any better than a tulip glass which is less likely to tip over break and spill my beer. I get that some people think Tekus are good for certain styles and maybe they have a point but why do we need the long stem? There are now beer glasses that have real gold rims is this really needed please someone tell me how gold makes your beer taste better. I don't want to see the day that beer becomes like wine where you have to have a super expensive glass to "properly" drink your beer.

The only glass anybody needs is a Duvel tulip.

And yet we still see people drinking Duvel out of non Duvel glassware.

I have over 25 different Duvel glasses, yet there are so many more out there.

In all honesty, I only buy Duvel when it's in a brick and I need a new glass because my old one broke. I like the glass a LOT more than I like the beer. It just seems to do so well with everything. The only other glass I use is a huge snifter for imp stouts, barleywines, etc.

    Exception.

My Piraat tulip has a Pirate ship on it. If there is a better glass, I'd like to know about it.

My other glass is a Pint glass for Stone Enjoy by 4.20.13

    It says "Devastatingly Dank"

There is an ongoing debate about Duvel. I enjoy it but don't drink it that much due to other options.
Still drives me nuts to see it served in glassware other than Duvel since everyone has at least one tulip.

As someone with around 120 glasses, "Too Many Glasses" is not in my vocabulary

I'm in the "Teku glasses can fuck off" club. Totally unnecessary.

I think the Duvel tulip glass is okay like any beer glass, but its not the end all glass. It is very versatile though... I think that the glass has one weakness it is just a little too wide at the top and you dont get some of subtle aromas or you get a weaker aroma than normally intended in that beer. That has been my personal experience with Duvel Tulip...

I know what you mean. Last time I bought glasses for my beer, I asked myself, "Did I really need to buy a dozen, one quart, wide-mouth mason jars?"

When you find them at thrift stores it's excusable. Picked up a framboise flute for 0.90 last week
