Regular BA Speedway was non impressive. I did enjoy the BA Kopi though.

Maybe do some IP trades / tastings and meet other BA's in the area. I've been able to try plenty of beers that I thought I'd never taste or have ammo to trade for in local tastings.

    They won't.
I guess it isn't, but the effort and shipping money you are going to sink into trying to get bottles through this method isn't worth it.

I traded 4 Citras for a Rare 1 month ago. Anything is possible.

I find these last handful of replies to be a lot more productive and helpful.

I appreciate the discussion, and I hope you didn't see my post as a negative attack on your character. I'm sure you're a great guy, and since I get over to STL fairly often, I'll probably bump into you at some point at a various bar . Like I said, anyone is free to do whatever they want with their beer. I trade specifically to try new beer and meet new people, and I also figure that if I can't land a beer with something I acquired on my own at a store or through my travels, then it's not meant to be. That's my own personal trade ethic, and sometimes I assume it's what should make the most sense to everyone else. I'm not going to trade for something specifically so I can use it to land something I want more (like a Cantillon or a Cherry Rye), to me, that's not the point of trading. Especially if I've never tried it before. Others obviously disagree, and while it might grate on me a little, at the end of the day it's just beer. And I agree with mtrutlin, why not just cut out the middle step and offer a Sump and Abraxas for Rare? Unless you've done that already...

So much this. Connect with people locally, when traveling, at work, wherever. You will get to try way crazier stuff than you'll ever be able to trade for.

I think this analogy has gone too far. Just be a good trader and you'll build a rep, and you'll rise above the twenty-twelvers. There are tons of great 2012 traders who have proven themselves. That are just tons more that seem to be asshats. Honestly, there's a good bit of tongue-in-cheek to all of this. Nobody is out there saying "I will never trade with a 2012 join date". Just gone are the days where new users were given the benefit of the doubt, and now people need to be extra cautious with brand new traders given the slew of recent issues.

Dang, that's even more unbalanced than the 2 CFH for 1 Rare trade

Was his ISO:FT. I gave him 6 Alpine bombers to compensate the money. He was happy, I was happy. Seems balanced to me.

The guy who traded 2 CFH for 1 Rare was happy too.

I'll relay your concerns to them though!

Just imagine if you ground up an Xmen #1 and put it into a beer? How much would it be worth then?

Why that's exactly the kind of thing I'd expect from a brewery which shares the name of one of the X-Men...

What I'd do is get together with tasting group and one will eventually show up. I've had it a couple times and didn;t have to make 3 trades to get it. You bring a Kopi someone else brings a Rare, you both win.

    IMO, BA Kopi is better.
