4 calling birds on a shelf?

    Anyone see 4 calling birds on a shelf somewhere lately? I frigid dropped and broke the one I had save.

    Somewhere between San Diego and Anaheim.

    Hacienda Liquor in Brea had a few cases when I was there a few months back. Maybe try giving you em a call to check.

    I'm pretty sure I have a bottle sitting in my fridge. I'm trying to get rid of stuff but I'm near Sac. Just shipping a single bottle wouldn't really be worth it though...

    Best Damn Beer Shop in SD had some yesterday. They had 3 French Hens, 4 Calling Birds (regular and BA), and 5 Golden Rings on the shelves.

    That seems a little odd, given that the BA version wasn't distributed. Or are they known for things like that?

    Think domtronzero confused Sid with Freddy.

    And that really isn't Sid's S.O.P. They just recently did a cellar dump; the BA 4 Calling Birds may have come from that. Or not - maybe BA 4 Calling Birds was retailed in a limited fashion. But still, I think it is quite unfair to compare BDBS with Bev4Less[sic].

    Some stores actually buy RS memberships to sell the beers. I wouldn't be surprised, if that is what they did. I was there a week ago and saw exactly 2 bottles of BA 4 Calling Birds, so I think that's the case. That store runs it like a boss though and they always have interesting and rarish stuff out.

    A liquor store in Santee claims to have 5 RS memberships. I wouldn't put it past him as he sells beer that doesn't get CA distribution. I bought Southern Tier's Creme Brulee, Pumpking and Choklat there last fall... albeit at the price of a good ******.

    I think it's a bit odd how much BA4CB is floating around at different stores. Are people that unimpressed and unwilling to let it age a bit?

    How much for 4 calling birds? The regular bottle was $12.99 and the Barrel Aged version was $29.99
