What is it taking to get these? I was putting up multiple Cantillons including stuff like Mamouche an LP Kriek without even a bite.

In my opinion the initial rush of folks who purchased SNR 2010 for trading has dwindled down, and those who have them left are planning on actually drinking them.

I'd say $40-$50 worth of Cantillon would be able to pull it out though (surprised that Mamouche + Lou Pepe Kriek didn't even get you a bite).

    Cheers!

I'm going to keep posting now and again. I put it up at weird times so that may have something to do with it.

I sent one to a trading partner because he's a badass trading partner.

I've got one more, but LP kriek + is pretty damn tempting. I'll shoot you a Bm.

IMO (and I do have an SNR10 I'd contemplate trading), Mamouche and LP Kriek aren't remotely tempting. They're rotating beers which are easily acquired via Etre and BiaB, whereas a sub-$50 SNR10 required getting lucky and won't be made again. You might be able to get this done with standard-issue 'loons, but I think you'll need more than just those two bottles.

Plan a trip to NYC and purchase one at a bar in Brooklyn for $70 to drink.

I'd consider trading mine for LP Gueuze+, or an older LP Gueuze, but I'd also need to find out if any of my buddies still have theirs and are planning on opening it, since I do want to try it at some point.

I'm surprised that no one would want LP Kriek and Mamouche, since that's like $60 worth of not-easy-to-find Cantillon, but like mongo said some people really dislike Mamouche (I love it, but have enough).

I think I got this done. Thanks for the input guys. I don't want to get this whole thing going but I think this one suffered a bit from commoditization. I mean that not just in the sense that people wanted crazy beers for it but that it is hard to trade the beers you love to people who are looking for a trading chip.

This beer is still available online, albeit at a pricy $$$. If you purchase enough with some of the online retailers you can sometimes establish a relationship with the owner of those businesses. I purchased six of these recently along with a bunch of vintage Cantillon among others. Etre and BiaB have far more beer than what is listed on their sites, but the really good stuff is held back for regulars. Kind of like what some local package stores do. If money isn't a huge concern, you may want to look into establishing such a relationship with one of the above stores.

Mordormongo extra'd me a syringe of HGH, and a blue bandana. Awesome trader.

I just drank one. Thought it was BEYOND sweet. Really, almost undrinkable sweet.

I respect the beer immensely and understand it's complexity and allure. But... not for me.

Are you talking about regular Stille Nacht or the Reserva?

I thinks you might have had the regular stille nacht. The sweetness is dialed back in the reserva, it also is slightly smokey.

Is "establish a relationship" doing anything besides spending a few grand a year there?

Not really. But isn't that how you establish a relationship with most businesses? By being one of their better customers?
