I actually buy cases for the case price alone. I give away a lot of beer so it's a softer blow I'd probably piss some people off advertising which cases I get but for those I give it to or those who couldn't hunt it down/wait in line on release day and end up nabbing a bottle or 2 from me @ cost, that's worth it to me. Spread the beer love people... sometimes "hoarders" are just trying to supply other BAs with less than friendly schedules.

 

This is true. I may "Hoard" but I do give it to freinds locally and trade to people who aren't fortunate enough to get delicious JK beers.

 

Fyi for Houston buyers. Specs Smith street has boxers revenge, og black metal, el cedro, funk metal, and wunderkind.

You folks who justify/rationalize wiping out beer supplies by saying, "hey, I'm sharing..." are blinded by your hollow/for-show efforts at being the the Robin Hoods of beer. Thank goodness for DFW and beer folks like Fern (Hall's) and Kye (Whole foods).

 

No more OG Black Metal. Picked up the last 3 bottles....Sorry. D&Q should still have some. 2 Funk Metal were left. Plenty of Cedro, Boxers, and Wunderkind. I really want to see Buddha's Brew again. Perfect summer sour.

I rationalize it by the case price. My El Cedro was 9/bottle including tax. I like that price. I've given 4 bottles away. This had nothing to do with wiping out beer supplies. Weed through my posts. I don't advertise nor do I post shit like"I just drank 1 of my 13 bottles....". There's nothing for show about it. I buy, I drink, I share, I enjoy. You sir sound bitter at missing out on something. I'd gladly help you hunt it down to restore some peace in the BA universe.

 

All right, you bastards. Tell me: WHERE IN GOD'S NAME CAN I FIND RU-55 IN HOUSTON OR AUSTIN. MAN. One's being traded away and it needs to be replaced.

I was gonna swing by D&Q sometime this week and hopefully pick one up if he has it. I also need 1 extra for a trade. If I can help you out there, let me know.

 

Our mutual friend is actually the one looking for one . We're both on the hunt, though. IIRC, she called D&Q today and they were out. So was Smith Street, as were the two Spec's on 6/Kieth Harrow and Barker/529. I'm going to check the two big locations in Austin when I get back, but Hancock HEB and the Insignia Embassy were both out. I guess I should also check out WFM and CM... maaaaan.

heb on buffalo speedway had a few ru-55 yesterday. i almost grab one but realized i already have 4 in my fridge.

 

Central Market on South Lamar in Austin had plenty of RU-55, El Cedro, Boxer's Revenge, and Das Wunderkind yesterday.

 

Not bitter. As I stated, we have great beer guys in DFW who make sure everyone gets some. I just find myself less interested in visiting this forum, with some exceptions, because of the newer folks and the mentality they bring.

Dipping out, get back to the JK discussion.

I'll add...you rarely see anyone bitter in dfw about missing a release.

 

I was at the HEB in Bee Cave yesterday and they had RU-55.
