KBS in MA

It didn't all go to NY because as of last Friday there were 4 pks on the shelf at Winchester Wine...

 

I have no dreams of getting my hands on this.

 

While living in CT and traveling to Mass to find some in year's past, I'd always check out Liquor 44 in Northampton. That place always flew under the radar.

 

I know stuff like this is regional. But u see hauls from Michigan BA's, they get it by the case!

 

Im sort of confused on that info because I read something similar a while back and then recently there was a thread saying the 3x increase was happening next year.

 

There's still BCBS on the shelf in Boston.

 

I think BBA Framinghammer can make us easily forget about not getting any KBS.

 

I think at the Founders Breakfast at Armsby last year the Founders dude who was there said it would be this year.

 

Yes BBA FH is excellent! Never had KBS so can't say what or if I am missing. But at $6 a bottle and easy access it could take a little sting outta not getting any

BB Framinghammer been a hell of a treat for sure. I've never had KBS so there's nothing to forget.

 

Never had KBS. I'd like to at least get a bottle to try but this is starting to sound like its exceptionally rare. Like the entire state only got a few cases (which seems ridiculous). I guess I'll just have to be happy with all the BCBS, BA Framinghammer, and Sucaba I have.

 

Maybe we could get Sam Adams to only sell Utopias in MA? And do it by the case?

 

I called yesterday and he said to call back on Thursday. However, we wasn't sure of an exact date.

 

Talked to a rep from Founder's in the Fall at the Hyatt show in Cambridge. I asked about the production increase.
He said although there would be an increase, allocation would probably be the same due to their market expansion.

 

Seems like Julio's and Metrowest is a big tipping point for beers in MA. I live in SE Mass and work in Worcester. Beer always comes out first near Julio's. For example Wegmans got a case of KBS and looks like Framingham got some. Then I notice it near me about a week later. As well as BA sighting start to pop up then Boston gets it. This is just my experience and could be or probably completely wrong. Only reason for bring it up is that KBS is probably gonna still trickle out thos week. Just wondering who's next

Central mass may have a different distributor or at least on a different schedule than metro Boston. There is also a higher quantity and concentration of stores in the Eastern part of the state. I live in Boston and worked in worcester for a few yrs and releases seem to hit julios one day, then stores near my house next. I think its coincidence or just their supply chain management more than anything

 

Just keep your eyes open and phone ready. Every day you could call a few stores and ask if it came in. Aside from the ones you regular, try Bauer wines on Newbury. And yes, this shit is a PITA to get. I frequent at least 10 stores and only got two bottles last year. One of which came from a Whole Foods, which you should also check out.if youre near one that sells beer (one in cambridge does). Kbs takes a lot of ass kissing, annoying, and perseverance but its well worth it.
