A buddy and I are hell bent on getting as many of the Eclipse Varients we can for a tasting.
    We are looking for the
EC 12 and 20 - emphasis on these
    Evan Williams
    Coffee
    Grand Cru

Trying to figure out what these go for, Did some searching and it seems to be all over the place.

We have Hunahpu's and MZ from CCB, can this be done 1-1 with the Huna or 2-1 with the MZ.

Any ideas are welcome as is the threadshitting!!!

As someone who has done a Eclipse Tasting, don't do it....they will all start to taste the same.

Lol, I think it would be more of the 2 of us hanging out over a few nights drinking. I dont think we would want do them all on the same day. For just that reason.

They're turning into shelf beers. Stock was so high this year they sent a decent amount to MA. If they come in any greater volume next year, they'll pretty much be annually available, at least because of the price...

    Huna should land 1:1 easily.

Ec 20 and grand cru were brewery only (iirc) this year with no futures. Coffee is limited to eclipse release party only. Approximately 125 bottles (this years iced eclipse). The rest should be easy to get and are still on the shelves some places. Hope this helps.

I just finished my series (waiting on a trade for the Grand Cru - move faster FedEx). Coffee was impossible to get. Flew to San Fran and drove down to GHS to get the GHS Special Blend (that was awesome!). Other than that I bought the others in stores or ordered through FiftyFifty when they went on sale again (extras). Hope you complete your set!

As someone who did the complete vertical from 07-2011 with every bottling I believe it was 20 bottles over a 6-7 hour period I couldn't disagree with you more

Coming from a homer. Lol we tried to finish the a 18 bottle vert and stopped after 6 bottles. What a waste of time and money. Mediocre thin ba stout. Now were stuck with 12 bottles. We drank most of the good ones and they were still not that great. Don't was your time like we did. Just drink the ones you got. You'll c.

    Useful post right here.

Oh well, his OP stated that he is both "Hell Bent on getting as many...", but also "welcome....threadshitting", so I guess you're in the right to state your opinions. However, it seems that the OP also knows what he's doing, so telling him "Don't waste your time" seems useless advice.

Gene, I think I saw the Grand Cru hanging around, I'll check it out for you.

If you are still in need let me know. I can probably help you out with the stuff on your list (minus coffee) if you haven't found it elsewhere.

The Evan Williams one is fantastic this year. Like Bourbon Dark Chocolate beer. I'm an Eclipse fanboy, fully admitted. But I think the Evan Williams is the best of the '12 releases I've had.

I think the EC20 was only at the brewery this year, but I may be wrong. Regardless, I have some 2011 EC20 and can try to hunt down a Grand Cru if you're in need. Also if you want to compare the EC 12 vintages, I have some 2011 left I think.

I think the price on these is a bit excessive

all thanks for the help, I have a BA that is going to pick me up a few bottles. On another subject, why have a super special release party for a "limited" beer then put said beer into distribution. I would assume that if my special limited beer was so wanted it would sell out at the release. See Hunahpu's day and Dark Lord day.

Just rambling by the way , I'm bored at work.

Why not? Why should they be mutually exclusive?

Maybe I'm just a weirdo, but I like the idea of getting to try every variety on tap, older vintages, special party only beers, no lines, hang w/ cool dudes, scope out hot chicks and get a special party only bottle. . .

Hey wait a minute. . . since when have PVW, Iced Eclipse, BART, Annularity, 07 Old Fitz, Coffee Eclipse etc. . . been put into distribution?
