I hate to do this again, but I feel it's been given more than enough time.

Agreed to a trade back in October-ish for some BT and other Bruery stuff for some OK locals. Due to complications with my deadbeat former trustee, ended up re-structuring the deal to include some different bottles and I had him hold off shipping until I had everything ready to send as well.

I sent my box in early January and have been receiving the runaround for almost 3 months. Several times I've been told the package will be out tomorrow and still nothing.

Judging by his reputation on here, he's completed several in the past so hopefully this will kick start his efforts a little, but I feel it needed to be posted.

I Just sent a text to Chris to let him know about this thread. He's a standup guy, so I know he'll come through. I'm not saying this is a viable excuse, especially if he won't communicate, but I know he had a son recently and his business is running him ragged. He still owes me a box BUT he is well aware, I haven't pushed him about it and we trade regularly, so I know he'll come through. He definitely shouldn't take such liberties with you though, and I'm sure he'll own up ASAP, because he's not a bad guy.

    Cheers

Oh and Jed, I'm an RS member, so I can satisfy your BT needs or really any Bruery Stuff in the future. Don't hesitate to ask!

He was seemingly a stand-up guy. Well played. Well played indeed.

Jed's RS too, unless you're referring to filling out what he was shorted from his old trustee.

I'm also surprised by this, I've dealt with TH for a few BIFs, he's the Team OK captain, and a good BA. I'm confident he'll come through on this, even if at an unfortunately long waiting period. I know he's got a young baby, FWIW.

If there's anything I can help with to satisfy his box obligation, I'd be happy to.

Its awesome to see other people step up for him...It would be nicer to see him step up himself as someone with what appears to be an excellent reputation..

Me and Brady are offering to help Jed out with beers his TRUSTEE shorted him, not Herf. Herf will come through on his own.

This is all on me. I owe Jed this box which I have had trouble finding the time to send. He has been nothing but an upstanding, patient trader even when I assumed, several times, I would have the time to wrap this one up. Thanks guys for getting my back and offering to help but I will make this right and get Jed taken care of.

FWIW, While this trade (which was the last ISO/FT I posted) was started before the birth of my son, I did not realize how little time I would have contribute to trading once he arrived. This trade in particular presented an additional time restraint I did not foresee. As Jed acknowledges, I did attempt to ship prior to his birth and was asked to wait.

Is the woman in your profile picture the mother of your son?

Not to breach the sanctity of fatherhood, and I know this isn't thedevil'sadvocate.com, but infants sleep more hours than they are awake and most men I know cannot breast feed. I know some single dudes who are busier than some of my friends who are dads. Finding 45 minutes to pack and ship off a box should not be a big deal, and using the kid as an excuse sounds like a cop out. I'm sure dude will make good on the trade but do we really need to scapegoat junior?

While I cant say much, especially in a thread about me being a bad trader, this just seems like a common case of thread shitting.

Do you have children? Not only do very young infants sleep a lot, they eat a lot. AND, not all children are breast fed 100% of time. Some fathers are very interactive in their children's lives and do not have expectations that the mother will do 100% of the child rearing. So... finding 45 minutes can actually be quite difficult. Finding an additional hour and half to drive across town to get a growler (from a brewery that does not sell them because it is illegal to do so in OK), made this even more difficult. I did this twice to ensure the growler would be fresh (which I have in my possession).

Owning businesses at the same time? = even less time. (yes, i am spending time at my office, TODAY, to answer this thread - when I have a few minutes). As stated, I am not excusing myself. I own up. I owe Jed a box which I attempted to ship before my son was born. However, he asked that I hold off until he was able to settle everything up with his Trustee. Otherwise, my end would have been sent back in Oct/Nov

To answer your question, yes, I'm a father. And if I commit to do something, be it a beer trade, help someone with moving, or work a few hours of over time, I make good on my promises, even if it means sleeping 45 mins less on a given night to get a box out. And I'm not proud of this. As Chris Rock would say, 'That's what you're supposed to do!'
