Good coffee-focused beers?

    Everywhere I check always seems to have a bunch of Lagunitas varieties, but never the Cappucino Stout. Is it a winter seasonal?

    Echoing other BAs, Surly Coffee Bender is pretty prime. It tastes very similar to iced, carbonated coffee with a bit of brown ale mixed in. Being Surly, it's not the easiest to get a hold of, but trades shouldn't be a problem since it's year-round.

    I'm surprised no one has said it, but Stone Dayman IPA, even as an IPA, is an excellent coffee beer. The coffee is definitely there, and somehow it works fantastically well with the IPA characteristics you'd expect from Stone. Furthermore, who doesn't love Always Sunny...?

    Santa Fe Imperial Java Stout is pretty darn tasty and extremely affordable.

    Terrapin Wake N Bake, Founders Breakfast Stout, Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout, Pipeworks Coffee Break Abduction, Central Waters Peruvian Morning, Troegs Java Head and Ballast Point Victory at Sea are good choices as well Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast. In regards to Lagunitas' Cap. Stout, it is available year-round. Also, if you are ever in Pittsburgh or Cleveland, check out Fat Heads..hopefully they will have Bean Me Up Koffee Stout available.

    Lots of good coffee stouts mentioned. I'll add to those: Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast / Brunch, Southern Tier Mokah, and Central Waters Peruvian Morning.

    Indeed Burr Grinder is easily my all time favorite.

    Surly Coffee Bender is good too.

    Founders breakfast stout needs no introduction, yum.

    I agree! It doesn't get better than Speedway Stout in my opinion. Such a marvelous balance between sweet and roasty.

    I throw another vote behind Espresso Oak Aged Yeti. Also check out Fulton's War and Peace if you can. Great coffee-forward imp stout.
