At least at the moment, they are not posting any projected release dates, other than Edith (4/17).

There was a brief discussion here in a thread saying that they are popular enough that they can stop posting bottle dates and still get a ton of traffic while avoiding release clusterf***s.

I wonder if this is temporary or permanent, perhaps based on that logic above?

Anyway, just thought this was worth noting.

yeah i mean the pulled a lot of them because they just don't know themselves. Double Barrel Damon was slated for March, then April, then May. They are tasting these Barreled beers frequently and when they are ready they will bottle them. Most of these beers, if not all, are the first time they are being brewed so they are developing the process as they go.

I trust the HF team to decide when the beer will be ready for me to drink!

    Cheers

They're making it harder for people to schedule trips up there with an army of mules. Unpredictable or short notice release dates = can't have those mules constantly on standby

I like the idea of them taking down the dates and simply posting when they know they are ready.

Whatever the motive behind it is I like it. Whether they are avoiding the mules or simply just stating the beer is ready when it's ready who knows.

If your simply going there for a release so be it but there is always world class beer on draft/ growler and usually some sort of bottled offering. Plus it's beautiful up there and for me at least heading to Waterbury after is half the fun!

I cannot wait to go back!

Other than a couple random beers like Norma, there hasn't been any normal announcement for releases. Mostly just monthly estimates. And those aren't always accurate. What does it matter if they don't list them on the site?

I like the bottle release dates, even if there not exact and are adjusted.

For those of us who are in are 40's with a full time job, PIA wife and a couple kids it is nice to be able to plan a trip instead of just flying up there on a whim on a Thursday, especially seeing that Greensboro Bend is an Hour past nowhere.

HFB said the constant barrage of people emailing that wanted to time their travel around specific release dates was becoming a problem - there is some flex required in releasing bottle-conditioned beers, and constantly having to advise those folks was becoming a problem for them. I can sympathize with both sides of that issue.

I feel like the AT&T commercial with the guy and kids where the girl is saying she wants more would be very applicable right now.

it's worth the trip for whatever they have in bottles or growlers, and while it may be an hour past nowhere, it's also about an hour away from waterbury, with its b&bs, prohibition pig, etc. VT beercation doesn't require nU-WaLeZ to be worth doing, i'd say.

The first time I went up I didnt even know they had a special release...but when I found out I took full advantage and bought two bottles...I only want to know the releases because I would like for my roommate from college to be able to get something really rare and cherish.

Good. Awesome even. As I said the other day, they are plenty big enough and popular enough to sell out all of these releases quickly even without some big formal release day announcement. And it's going to make those trips up there just a little more special to find out you stumbled onto some new limited release.

I can only imagine they were getting swamped with inquiries about them, and probably tons of complaints too for people who scheduled travel and booked a hotel, only to find out the beer they wanted wasn't ready in time.
