I'd rather drink 7 KBS than 1 Rare.

A wise Arbitrator once traded a Rare for a 12 pack of 2008 or 2009 Bourbon County Stout. He won that trade for sure.

 

Hopefully he got the Pappy BCBS.

I was going to start a new thread but I'll try this one. What happened? I put up a 4 pack of BCBS for a 4 or KBS and got nothing. Its not even a day later and I'm already on page 7 of the FT section. Last year that should have been an easy trade.

 

What happened is that bcbs got easier to get than kbs.

 

did it or did KBS ger harder...I guess either way it doesn't matter. I guess I was just hoping for maybe someone that made it to the release had some extra and didn't have any BCBS. I like the KBS better but Ill just drink the BCBS if thats the case.

 

I'd say it could also be that we are right in the middle of the KBS release to all it's distribution area's. Folks are coveting it right now. Some folks haven't even got their's yet. Give it a couple weeks and try again once the hysteria has died down a little.

Yeah I kinda thought about that too, but I figured strike while the irons hot and get it when its the most prevalent. Problem is everyone else is thinking that too. Some of the stuff people are asking for with their KBS is a bit crazy. Some of the things, a lot of the things, people seem to be putting up "beats" my BCBS. I was just trying to get it fresh because thats how I like it but you're right it should still be good on a few weeks.

Can people still actually get BCBS? There is a guy in there that has a 4 pack of KBS and is bafflingly asking for 8 BCBS bottle all the while claiming he can go buy a case of it whenever he wants.

I guess I just need to hold off for a while, seems like everyones going whale hunting with their KBS right now. Pity...they should really just drink it, but then with how much some people got I guess they have extra to trade...thats a different conversation though.

 

I went into a store in suburban MD 2 months ago and they had piles of cases of BCBS just sitting in a corner. Also had several cases of BCBCS. Unfortunately, I was not properly equipped with time or materials to get that stuff home with me.

So yeah, its still sitting around in some places.

 

I bought a 4 pack of BCBS last week, but I haven't seen any since.

 

To put things in perspective... When BCBS came out in Chicagoland last fall, I was able to pick up a case of it over the course of a few weeks/over a month (and could have purchased numerous cases). For KBS, my local store sold out of their single case they got in 2 hours (single bottle limit), another store had a case and was selling it for $9.99 a bottle, single bottle limit (and they were down to their last four pack after having the beer for about a day), and all other local stores by me were sold out within the day.

So when I look at it from my "Chicago" point of view, KBS was much, much harder to get than BCBS.

Should it trade higher? That's for the masses to decide
