Hopslam used to brewed by Larry McBells but nowadays its his daughter that stirs the mash. TIME FOR A SPANKING!

First, that's not his point. You're comparing a coffee/chocolate stout to a RIS. Not directly comparable flavor profiles.

Second, creating a boisterous thread to inform all of us about your very important opinion and then telling someone to lay off with theirs is hypocritical, to say the least.

Probably feeding the troll, but whatever.

I'm guilty of passing over Two-Hearted when I see it at the store, but I still think it's a world-class IPA. While some of their everyday lineup is average, Two-Hearted is an awesome brew, and their seasonal and limited-release brews are usually top-notch! Expedition is one of the most cellar-worthy stouts I have ever had, Black Note is phenomenal, and the "thousand" series brews (with the exception of 8,000) were stellar. I will admit, I get tired of Hopslam after about three bottles of my sixer, but by no means is it, or any of Bell's beers overrated. I find many of their beers to be underrated. If you want overrated, try this:

So Larrys daughter is hot? If thats the case then I would argue that Bells is completly underrated, I forgot to factor in the owners daughters hottness.

I agree. I have only tried three Bells beers but they are nothing special, except for Hopslam, which is a very good beer but not worth the hassle to get and 20.00 or more price per six pack. I compare Bells to a local brewery here, Heavy Seas which makes a lot of good beers. Nothing fantastic, but nothing bad either. Founders is in the same boat as Bells and Heavy Seas IMO.

She f'd up hopslam on several occasions. Is she hot? I might award 2-3 extra BA points for that.

Bell's is solid. Everything they do is above average.

Not sure, but we need to find out. No way of telling if the brewery is over rated or underated without this information.

Edit: This guy wants to spank her, so I'll assume shes hot:

Bell's is solid and "safe". Don't venture too often. (But when they do it's great!) Venture More Bell's!

ohhh HELLS NO! I think whoever started this one is borderline blaspheme! i mean look at their list of "active" beers on b.a.! 71!! thats a lot of beer, good beer! granted many of these are only on tap so to many of us, unable to obtain unless someone invents a teleportation device soon (beam me to bells scotty!) bells is in my top five fav brewerys of all time (other 4: odell - these guys can do no wrong!, stone, great lakes, deschutes and 21st amendment & new belgium are good runners up too!) i think peoples are either founders fans (LOVE dirty and backwoods bastard and kbs is good too...not as good as BOURBON COUNTY! but better than bells black note) but bells (hows abouts BEST AMBER EVER! best brown is good, two hearted top 3 best afforadble easy to comeby ipas ever, hopslam - NOT "inconsistant" factor in weather differs from year to year which effect the soil which effect the ingrediants in beer just like grapes in wine, vintages differ! how about expedition or double cream even java stouts!? my manager swears by old coast old ale, i havent had the privledge of trying yet....and who (that tried it) could forget "turn it up to 11 ale!? best imperial red next to "the duce" by lucid.... just to name A FEW!) so bells...VASTLY OVERRATED?!? HARDLY!?!?!?!? WHATAYADUM!?!

IMHO ---> WRONG!!! <buzzer sounds> Expedition Stout is vastly superior! FBS is over hyped. Where's the chocolate notes in this suppsed "double chocolate coffee stout"?
