    Love.

Also, judging by who "liked" your previous post, I seem to have pissed off everyone who worked on the White Whale list. :slight_frown:

    MikeTen,

I don't really understand what you are saying. Are you saying that BA Darklord trades for what it does because people are lying somehow? Who are these people and what are they lying about?

If you live in copenhagen it would be really easy to end up with a lot of blabaer (much easier than getting multiple BA dark lords). Most people I've talked to prefer lamvinous to blabaer. Would you say there is also a blabaer conspiracy? (Just curious.)

I'd say it takes a lot to trade for a BA Dark Lord because those that have them value them highly, and there are more people who want to drink them than there are BA Dark Lords. I don't think there's a secret conspiracy at the center of this.

I was referring to post #132.

More amusing, it took someone 4 pages to point out "trolling" that was "obvious." That's inherently self-contradictory nonsense, isn't it?

I think they aren't quite forthcoming about how many people have multiples.

Blabaer can be had for a fair price in an international trade.

None of those reasons, or ratings, or bottle count, explain why BA Dark Lord trades so much differently than other beers. I think that's also a large reason for its scrutiny, as MordorMongo points out.

Anyway, we can all agree to disagree. I've expressed my viewpoint and listened to others - by the time this degenerates into accusations of trolling, we can safely say the thread is over.

    Sorry about that.

I'll step my game up. Haven't been on here much the past week.

A set of all four BA Dark Lords traded for one bottle of Midnight Sun M. Explain that one.

I don't understand the connection between this and increased trading value. You mentioned yourself that at most releases there are people who get more than one allotment - but unless I'm missing something - you're only specifying BA dark lord as the beer where multiple allocations= suspiciously high trading value.

You should probably blame the people that offered a 6-12 rare bottles the day after DLD in 2011 for a BA dark lord. (I'd go back and find links if the great BA purge hadn't destroyed them.) I'd guess that probably has more to do with the percieved value of BA dark lord than anything else.

Also, if they do continue to ramp up volume, I'm sure it'll decrease in value like Black Tuesday has.

Explain what about it? It supports what I've been saying about perceived trade value.

That could be a huge culprit.

I can't even tell what you have been saying about "perceived trade value" since your posts seem to be all over the map. To the best I can tell, you seem perplexed over the fact that some beers trade at a higher value than their scarcity based on bottle counts and the possibility that someone could have multiples. And yet the example I gave has $200 worth of BA Dark Lords trading for what, a $15 bottle that those who could acquire it probably had the chance to buy multiples of?

My posts aren't as confusing as you might think. I am saying that hundreds of people presently have multiple BA DLs but pretend they're otherwise impossible to get; by saying it repeatedly, they've convinced others that they have to give up multiple rarities, so that's where the perceived value is now.

Comparing that to a bottle that maybe a hundred people had multiples of 8 years ago is completely irrelevant except to show that BA Dark Lord trades like an instawhale.

Anyway, I think I've made my point, and now I'm just repeating it for the latecomers. I'll bow out unless something new comes up.

This is the funniest thing I've ever read on BA. Well done.

I'll give you tens. *Maybe* as many as 100 (though highly doubtful). But hundreds? yaomingbitchplease.meme

No way to prove it either way, and I'm not exactly expecting people to jump in and admit it.

    Let's agree to disagree.
