What beers are our friends drinking poll

I've got a lot of friends with various tastes, however most of my close friends who I hang out with only drink craft beer. Some of my older friends (high school, etc.) that I don't see very often drink some craft and some BMC products.

 

I voted "Other" because I have friends that drink Pilsner Urquell.

 

My friends who live near me all drink BMC, but all of my good out of state friends drink craft. That's just the way things unfolded. Sucks that no one here drinks it, but it's nice to have an established base of traders spread throughout the country

 

I don't try to push what I'm drinking on others. If they ask I give them some. I try to keep some spotted cow around for my bmc drinkers

 

Out of all of those options, not ONE that says "They're all BMC drinkers."

A couple of them HAVE had craft beer (probably only because they see me drink it), and they say "it all tastes the same" or "it's bitter."

 

I don't have any friends so I guess I'll go with other too.

 

I took a 6 pack of Schlafly Pumpkin Ale to a fall wedding last year and shared them with friends from high school. We now have a small beer buying group and they can't believe what they've been missing.

 

It's hard to tell who I have actually "converted" because when I actively tried to convert people they would just ignore me, then months later I would see them drinking nothing but craft. I know for a fact that I directly influenced a few people.

When I'm told that Hopslam tastes the same as Hoptical Illusion, I'd have to agree with your statement.

 

I've converted a lot of friends. First I was that "pompous" guy who would bring my own beer to certain events; now, after they have finally had a tastes of God's nectar, I can't stop giving recommendations on new stuff. (Although they still don't understand that I can't just go to the liquor store and pick up a 12 pack of Pliny whenever I feel like it. It's called a bottle limit, guys!)

 

Most of my friends drink a little bit of both. They will drink mostly BMC but have a few craft brands that they buy too. Some of them drink only craft, others only BMC. Even I drink some BMC.

voted other. My friends and I all got into SNPA, Blue moons, magic hats, southern tiers, etc at the same time. They all kinda dropped that trend and mostly drink Genessee (which I drink as a cheap supplement too). They occasionally craft a sixer or buy a Sierra seasonal and stuff. I'm the one who pretty much is trying to show them that beer can be much better than your "intro" craft breweries which is why I think they fell off the bandwagon. I still make sure I share my sucaba, kbs, BA bigfoots, BCBS and all those monsters to them in hopes that they will realize how crazy this shit has gotten! They do but what it comes down to for them is da loot.

 

When my wife and I have get-togethers, we pretty much always supply the drinks. We have an okay liquor selection, a few different wines, and a shit load of good beer. I always used to also get a case of Bud Light or Coors Light or something in case someone wanted it (and I honestly don't mind having it around once in awhile if it doesn't get consumed at the party), but I noticed that it never got TOUCHED (cardboard box unopened, period). Between the craft beer and homebrew, wine, and liquor, nobody ever drank it. So I just accepted that I have friends who prefer better beer and just buy that now.

And I didn't "convert" any of them.
