Anyone hear any news on when Haven is actually going to re-open provisions? Or did they completely give up on the idea. I wouldn't have expected them to do a 4-month re-model, but who knows?

I wish I knew something about what was going on in that area, but then again, I have no desire to ever return now that Bruery Provisions is gone. I'll see the overpriced Haven "replacement" via pictures but doubt I'll ever return (and certainly won't make an effort to).

I remember when the Stone name was brought up and I was VERY excited about that possibility. It would have been absolutely amazing to have Stone in that spot.

I wish Stone would of opened a store there, but they just did in Pasedena, so not gonna happen.

Its been open for a couple months now. I believe they even had a Pliny the Younger release there during the time it was making the rounds.

I was literally just thinking about this as I drove to work this morning. It does seem like they have gone silent on the topic. I am sure they wanted to "Haven" the place up a little bit, but to keep interest going I would have expected them to throw a blog post, or a teaser every so often. People have either forgotten about it, or decided they will hate it. Here's to hoping they open late spring/early summer!

The whole 're-opening within a month' sounded like unrealistic optimism from people who had never opened a business, not a group who has opened three restaurants. The windows are papered up. Perhaps it is blindingly awesome inside.

one can only imagine the level of awesomeness that is going on inside of that butcher paper I tell you!

I missed out on the closing sale The Bruery put on so I just want them to open up so I can buy some good cheese damnit! I was in the middle of a move and a pregnancy (Not mine, that would be weird) and couldnt get out there, still borderline bummed about missing out on some inventory.

Walked by last night, windows were all papered up, couldn't actually find a gap to peek inside.

a brick would've done the job.. ya know, if your curiosity was on that level. I just love that damn area and can't wait to be able to sit outside on a summer evening and drink some good beers.

Don't think the thought hadn't crossed my mind, especially given how much CR I had already consumed. Couldn't find a brick, and those trash cans are heavy. Maybe because they're bolted down.

F*ck Haven. After the shameless Pliny the Younger release at the Pasadena location, and completely blowing off a BJCP brewing competition our club had co-sanctioned with them, I'm done.

question... and not being a smart ass, I am just curious.

Does the ownership group run all locations, Haven's and Taco Assylum? Or is each location run seperately by a management group? I am wondering because I don't want the new Provisions location to have a bad rap before they are opened. But I mean, if the businesses are all run shitty, then I see why people are worried.

That is a good question, that I, unfortunately, do not know the answer to. I think both Haven's are run by the same ownership group... Most of the staff at the Pasadena location have also been pretty unfriendly, so that doesn't instill faith in their franchise or experience for other customers.

That is kind of what I assumed... unfortunately. I have been hoping some of the staff from when Bruery ran the show would carry over, or have an influence so that the dynamic in the new provisions stays awesome. I guess we will all have to wait to find out, but I thought I could force some info out of someone on here haha.

The overpriced and mediocre food (which admittedly SOUNDS good on a menu) should have done it in for you, first.

Wellp... somebody read this thread. Just noticed a Provisions post on Facebook haha.
It only mentioned that Haven will also be taking over that page to announce info. But it is a step in the right direction.

I will now let all of you bitch about the price and quality of their food. I for one, will still go check out the stock when they open back up. Seeing as how Mediocre food wont change what is inside those bottles.
