I know lots of people who try new beers just because they like how the label looks so what beers and breweries do you think have labels that are bad or could be improved and would any of you have tried a beer you love sooner if it had a better looking label

Surly some of their artwork is cool but their 2 headed company logo is terrible and really annoys me

Achel.. The "Trappist" font looks like a standard Microsoft variety.. Being in marketing and design, I hate standardized crap, and the label really bugs me. I can't bring myself to buy it.

I think a lot of people will disagree with you.. To me, it's a good representation of their uniqueness and quirky style.

I'm with you on this. Love their beers but have always thought their labels sucked.

"BEER"...as in black-on-yellow-labeled generic beer (Is that still around? I'm having a party for 100 people this weekend and only have 10 bucks to spend on beer.).

The Robust Porter for example has some stupid old circus photo on it and I cant image anyone seeing that label and wanting to try it assuming they no nothing about the brewery.

does this also count cheap labels? I can't stand spending good money on a bottle of beer when the brewery can't even pony up for a quality label. So many breweries use crappy grade paper. Maybe I am in the minority on that one, but I hate it.

Great lakes!!! I'm pretty sure kindergartners could finger paint better looking labels. Same with thirsty dog.

As much as I hate to say it, Lightning Brewery has boring labels. I haven't tried their brews yet.

Finest Kind is one of the best labels out there. You can't knock Cy and Paul.

Agreed for the most part, just because they are "metal" does not mean they are good. The dungeon and dragon kids I went to school with drew better comic book characters. I mean Zombie Dust was just a bad take on Skeletor

I do love Apocalypse Cow though

Agree on some disagree on others Zombie Dust and Dark Lord and Artic Panzer wolf are amazing but Gumball Head and alpha king Behemoth and especially their company logo and name suck that Said I love Dark Lord both the art and beer

Yeah, the old timey look is not appealing. I really don't like any labels on their main line up. Even the Finest-kind label, which I know some people think is cool. They make damn good beer but the labels are shit.
