Am I the only one who seriously thinks this is an INCREDIBLE beer? I am a huge BA stout fan, and I find this "porter" to be on par with some of the best BA stouts I have had. Huge molasses, maple syrup, sticky dark fruits, and PERFECT carbonation. The aroma fills the room the second you crack the bottle open. Mouthfeel is unreal, and a pleasant boozy warmth that really mellows nicely after some time in the cellar. I have drank 5 of these since it was released, two of them right when it came out and the other three within the last two months, and each time I am astounded. Thankfully I have a few more that I am saving for another special occasion.

This has to be one of my all time favorite beers, yet I have never really heard any major praise for it. Its got a good rating, but I feel like this beer is borderline world class. Maybe its just my sweet tooth.........

Does anyone else think this beer is this good, or am I just crazy.

XXIV has been my least favorite Black Butte Anniversary beer but to each his/her own. I love the series as a whole.

Unfortunately, its the only one I've tried.

Fortunately, this doesn't deter me from creaming my pants upon drinking it.

It has a 95 rating, and therefor IS considered world class. I presume this means, though I have not personally experienced it, that you are not alone in your love of said beer.

Man if I had the money to do shipping trades, I'd take you up on it. As it stands, my bottle of Black Butte XXIII is lonely in my fridge. Although it is accompanied by regular Black Butte, so maybe not quite too lonely. I may just drink it soon anyway.

I opened a cellared XXI not too long ago. Man, was it good. You think you liked the XXIV? I have one more XXI if you're interested.

I liked it quite a bit too. I thought it was a wee tad bitter fresh so I laid a bottle down. Probably drinking really good about now.

This beer on draft fresh ranks up there with KBS for me as one of the best beers I've ever had.

Got 3 cellaring in my beer fridge.

I too loved it. The mouthfeel is darn near perfect. That being said, I've only had the XXIII and XXIV. Got one more XXIV sitting down stairs just waiting to be drank.

BB is some seriously thick and delicious beer. Whoever said XXI is drinking well right now gets my vote for understatement of the year.

I will agree that this is a great series. I think XXIV is on par with the rest but will only get better with a year or two. A world class beer in every way.

I didn't like 24 fresh, I have one bottle I plan to open when 25 rolls out.

    23 is superb though.
