The bulk of what I bought today (sans a mix-a-six of pretty standard stuff I just haven't tried yet):

Jealous. If your friends wife is the lady who is always working there then that's an awesome connection to have! She is always very nice and makes our visit more than worth it.

I'm not sure as I just found out she works there. She got me some Bitter Valentine the other day knowing I was upset it was out of stores. And you are right, super cool to have the connection.

Maybe it's someone else but none the less awesome! Last year Bitter Valentine was one of my favorite beers but I wasn't able to score any this year :/

I'm a big fan of that Hopwired, a little pricey, but a great beer!

Yeah, pricey is the word. But the reviews here sold me and I wanted something "exotic." Figured a beer from NZ worked.

There is another one out of NZ by Epic called Hop Zombie that was really good too, if you can find it.

That is such a great IPA, I fear I take it for granted being in socal. May have to pick some up soon.

Aces. I don't think I've seen that particular one, but that Epic Brewing hits in some places I go to in Ohio pretty regularly.

On my way home from work today and decided that I would stop by a couple little bottle shops that I had heard had a "decent" selection of craft beers. Just imagine my surprise when I found these on the shelf! The Sucaba and DDBA were nice, the 2 Fruet (2012) and a Cuir (2011)? You don't even want to know what I paid for them! I almost peed...

Always wanted to try these beers but have never been able to find them. For whatever reason on a random day in April, the stars have aligned. [IMG]

Did my first BA trade with @RustyP and I am more than happy. Really wanted to get my hands on some of the Smoked Porters and the Jester King was a bonus. Plus, RustyP hooked me up with a small sample of whiskey from the same place that makes the smoked porter. Time to get my drink on!
