Looks like a good time! Wish I could get up that way someday. If anyone want to work out a trade for a bottle or two, hit me up. Can offer Freetail beers etc.

    Cheers,
    John

I think they had a tornado and had to close for the day. Don't bother going today for safety.

(Crosses fingers and hopes there is some left tomorrow)

Thinking about heading up soon and arrive around 4. Plenty left or no? Also, it's nothing special but I'd throw out a few KBS and BCBS for a few things not available in Iowa.

Fantastic release. Had to leave for other engagements. Assassin is chewy and bourbony, smooth, great. Morning delight is ridiculous in the greatests way, like a maple bacon doughnut but not gross like Rogue. Fan fuckin tastic.

Mornin' Delight was fantastic on tap, as was Naughty Temple! Best way I can describe MD: think Surly Darkness as far as mouth feel, but tastes like the best chocolate covered espresso bean you've every had; never would have guessed it to be 9%!

My dad and I had a good talk with Mike, the head brewer for TG, and learned quite a bit from him on their history and barrel aging/blending process. They have BA Mornin' Delight and Vanilla Bean Assassin in the works, stay tuned to BA or their website for more info to come; tentative May-July release.

I also wanna thank TG for their inclusion of tax in their $20/$10 bottle prices; seemed to help people decide faster how many they could afford/want which IMO ultimately made the line move faster.

My only recommendation I'd have for future releases is post where to go to get tickets and bottles. We showed up at 11:50 didn't know where to go, spent 15 minuets going in circles, to later learn tickets were only distributed till noon and were told to "wait?". We ultimately got as much as we were allowed and were very happy.

    Cheers!

    P.S.
IP: Twin Cities FT: Assassin, Mornin' Delight ISO: CW 15, Cantillon. BM if interested

Left Maple Grove at 8:45ish, got there 11:45ish. Had Mornin' Delight & SR-71, both delicious. Got my Growler of PsuedoSue, (I had the Brauler aluminum growler, apparently it was special, and got shown to the owner before I got it back. ) Got in line, got my 6+2, ate a Pizza at "Mabe's" and drove home. It's 4:33, and I'm going for a walk with the family.

Awesome day, next time, I'll try to spend more time there.

Up to 12 Assassin. I got 7 Assassin, 2 MD. The MD was hand numbered #/300. We were roughly 100th in line and mine are low 100#s

I gotta say, thanks to Clark, mike, beer murph and all that do what they do at TG. Great beer, even better people.
Success is well deserved. I had a blast at the release as I always do at the TG brewpub. Suck a special place, beer, and people!

Really wish I could have made the release, but no way I could have missed my son's first baseball game of the year to score beer. My wife would have had my balls in a vice!

BUT....thanks, so much to Chad (aka CLaBarre) for being my mule and scoring me a bottle of Assassin. I owe you, man. Looking forward to making it up to the TG Brewery and meeting the crew....hopefully soon!
