Good morning early spring stout suckers,

Mid-MI is cloudy and cool, but we're supposed to encroach into the 50s - which would be a first since April began, (or at least it seems that way). Mother nature has been holding the cards close to her frigid chest, as I anxiously await a proper ushering on glorious spring. In the meantime, we shall drink KBS.

Speaking of Founders dark stout, Founders is hosting their annual Black Party next Saturday. This is the famed celebration of everything black (in color) of brews they make. And, this is the party where surly their Canadian Breakfast Stout will be pouring. It's not going to be available all day, as it will surly run out, and we never know when it will be tapped. One thing is for certain though, we'll endeavor to persevere by drinking all of their other spectacular ales until this fateful moment unfolds. And since KBS has been released, I've yet to crack open a bottle and give it a whirl. Maybe a chore for me today?

Other than that, I really cannot speak about much that occurred in the beer world and my experiences last week, so I'll wrap this baby up. Grab a NEW BEER. Drink your NEW BEER. Share your NEW BEER experience/s with us back on this thread. We're all curious to know what fantastic brew/s you'll be trying for the first time, and can't wait to hear all about it - AFTER you've drunk your NEW BEER. So, go drink some new beer/s and holla back, yo. Good day and good drinkin'.

In the undying spirit of craft beer,

    malty

Let's see, it's called New Beer Sunday, Malty used the expression have a new beer about 13,000 times in the OP, so..., gee I have no idea.

    New American Pale Ale Sunday!

Greetings and good tidings to the NBS group!

Beautiful sunshine and a mild 60 degrees with some breeze here in Ocean County, NJ today. I skipped a round of golf and took the high road to work around my acre of the earth today. There's no skipping a new brew...let's not get too crazy!

I enjoyed this Southern Tier offering: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3818/20536/?ba=NiceTaps , worth a try.

Looks like it could be a 'one and done' beer afternoon; field workouts with my softball-player teenage daughter later today.

Here's to a great day for all, Cheers!

Greetings fellow NBSers! A partly cloudy day here in the Fourth Corner, after having a brief bit of snow yesterday. I'm house/dog sitting while a couple of friends are in Palm Springs for the weekend, so I'm watch the NASCAR Truck race from Rockingham. The Rock should still be on the Cup schedule. I worked security in the beer garden for the local roller derby team last night, as I do once a month, and it was it's usual fun time. My first brew for this edition of NBS is a pleasant enough brew, but not one worth putting any effort to obtain: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/25979/77025/?ba=beertunes

    Happy NBS to all...

Sunny and seasonably cool here on Long Island. I did my monthly Sunday OT day at work today. I love making easy beer money!

I'm just relaxing with a beer before I go grill up a few steaks for dinner and this beer is sure relaxing me...

New American Witte Sunday (week 425)

Greetings NBS'ers from a beautiful day on the ridge in Mid Hud Val NY. Had to work earlier, which is a good thing, as work is about to seriously dry up and happy to get what I can now, even on Sunday. A beautiful beer from a local brewery that has been hitting em out of the park for six years now. Really digging the light refreshing wheat and citrus hops of this delicate brew. Hope you have a Great American Beer in your glass as well. Cheers!

    New Rye Beer Sunday

    Greetings NBSer's,

I won't go into the weather for cold, rain, snow, wind, cloudy and just downright gloomy SCMN with no indication of any significant change through the week. Fortunately I have a beer to bring a ray of sunshine into the window of my soul. And a lovely label to hearten my mood.

Short and sweet today. I wish all a great week.

Great Lakes Rye of the Tiger. I still miss Holy Moses, but this is a great brew. (Then again I've yet to meet a rye beer that I didn't think was great lol). Love that full-bodiness that the rye gives to this brew. Almost like a nutty type flavor.

After forgetting about the purpose of this thread, I then remembered what the purpose of it is. God forbid some people like to stick with tradition and commaradory.

American Black Ale - Short's: Goodnight Bodacious (Dbl. Black India Pale Ale). "Unabashed Power Embracing Absolute Darkness".

50 degrees and partly sunny in Spokane. Unimpressed with what was achievable in my kitchen, I went out for breakfast and then had a little drive.

Now it's beer and baseball time, with the added bonus of the Mariners actually leading (but for how long?). The beer is a "Double Red Ale" from Ice Harbor that I picked up in Kennewick, WA, about a month ago:

Mediocre, nothing wrong with it, but not terribly interesting.

    >>>>>> New Belgian Triple Sunday <<<<<<

I'm having a Triple this afternoon. I'm not much on the style, and sure I have had better Triples but this one is pretty good. A solid offering from Scuttlebutt.

Unstable weather here in the Columbia Basin. Sun, clouds, rain even a bit of snow this afternoon. Ah, spring in the northwest. And now bonus golf at The Masters.

    Happy Trails!

    New Fruit/Vegetable Beer Sunday

    Hello all!

My new beer is from Magic Hat. I had to add it, which is unusual because Magic Hat is a big brewery. If I missed it on the list, please let me know. I didn't like it very much - I was glad to have an IPA after it. BUT, I gave it credit for tasting like a cucumber, which was the intention.

    http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/96/92378

    Keeping "style" in mind,

    Cheers!
