Recently I saw a post from a fellow MN BA, XmnwildX12 who was looking for a bottle of '11 Alesmith Decadence to do a tasting with the barrel aged version that he had acquired in trade. When I reached out he had already closed the deal with another person however, that ended up falling through a week later.

We he asked if I could still trade him the beer last night I was happy to offer it because I would have appreciated the help if I were in his shoes. In return I asked if he was lucky enough to get anything from the Toppling Goliath release he went above and beyond to work out a deal to get me a bottle of Assassin since I was unable to go to Decorah this past weekend.

Long story short, we met downtown today to trade in person and I wanted to say THANKS to Brandon for the awesome bottle. You rock sir! I hope your tasting goes well and I look forward to seeing you at future beer events.

I want to send a shout out to Iowa BA, CLaBarre, who picked me up a bottle of Assassin this weekend! I had never even met him and he was more than happy to pick me up a bottle, without me even directly asking (just posted in the Assassin thread). Great guy! Hope to score something he might be looking for in the future.

BAs helping BAs = awesome. One reason this community is so great!

This doesn't surprise me me one bit. I had the pleasure of completing an IP trade with CLaBarre last week. He's a great guy and a generous trader. He's new to the BA community, but understands what it means to be a Beer Advocate.
