Just noticed that Fedex sponsors the site. Ironic?

Shipping services have been advertising here for at least a year.

Figure it has to do with the number of hits (can't think of the term, viewing one page then going to another) FedEx gets from BA has to be noticeable enough advertising would pick up on it.

Why yes. USPS sponsors them. You know, if it fits, it ships

Not based on the number of threads about FedEx and UPS that have sprouted on these forums. If your name is getting a lot of hits somewhere, it might not be a bad place to advertise.

But that's the irony! I would bet almost none of the people using these shipping services are doing it legally. It would be kinda like Manischewitz sponsering a neo-**** website simply because they mention Jews often.

There are multiple threads which boil down to: Should I use UPS or FedEx? Or, what you can call a prime advertising opportunity.

So there's some irony, but even if you're using their services for trading beer which is against their terms of service, they're still reaping the $.

10 points for getting us to Godwin's law, though.

They don't "sponsor" the site. It's merely a remnant ad pushed by a 3rd party to utilize our unused inventory.
