New to trading.

    - Apologies if this information has been given elsewhere-

    I'm interested in joining the trade community and feel a little overwhelmed by all of the acronyms. Can anyone link a good "trade thread for newbies?" I read the FAQs topic and searched the Forum for "acronyms" but couldn't really find what I thought I needed.

    FT= For trade
    to many acronyms for different beers to list.

    alewatcher has a great link on his page for packing boxes, acronyms, etc... really helped me when i started

    Lots of good information being provided, so thanks again! I like the idea of having reliable trading partners in areas outside my normal distro. Is it easy as starting a. ( FT: Portland off the shelf/ ISO midwest or FFF off the shelf, $4$) thread ...at least while I am getting my feet wet?

    Expect to ship first and locals for locals is a great way to start off. You should have no problems being that your from a fantastic beer region. Good luck and enjoy the fun...........

    All I can say is: wow! The response so far in my message box has been...overwhelming. thank you to everyone for your interest and for supporting a newbie. It will take a while to sort through the inbox, so please don't be offended if I deny your offer. I don't want to get in over my head to start with, but maybe we could trade at a later time. Thanks again to all.

    Take woodchopper up on his offer, he was the one of the first people I ever traded with. He is a very easy person to trade with and just an all around great BA

    I agree the acronyms are a bit intimidating. I have been interested in doing a trade but wasn't sure the best way to post it, I'm not looking for specific beers, but just a bit of variety of breweries that I do not have access to. I live in Kansas City, but wasn't really sure how to go about finding a person to trade with. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Were grilling swordfish monday night after 7 stop by. My cellar and a spot at my bar is always open for you good Sir! Ya ya il be home about then :-)

    Can someone warn him about the box he may receive..... :-)

    Simple is fun. Its also very addicting and just do a trade at a time always keep in touch if there's a problem or issue. I'm a no worries kinda guy just only promise what you can follow through with and any questions ask! :-)

    Beer trading is fun and a great way to meet cool people.
