Nope. You can buy Furious and Abrasive in single cans at one, maybe two, liquor stores in Moorhead. Otherwise the closest place is Zorbaz in Detroit Lakes to my knowledge, which usually has 4-6 Surly beers on tap. After that I think the next closest is the TC area.

I was just quoting the Pioneer Press: http://www.twincities.com/entertain...-brewing-closes-twin-cities-site-planned-brew

With all the things they have planned for the site, I'd say that kind of production seems on par.

A restaurant in East Grand Forks, MN was trying very hard to get Surly since the restaurant is known for their beer selection, but Surly told them no until they get the new brewery going.

If Surly were smart, they'd run a beer pipeline right to you.

We do drink a lot of beer here since there's nothing else to do. Literally.

I don't think Surly is in liquor stores in the Dakotas or Iowa, just special tappings here and there. Just like they did in Chicago a few times.

I see reports that Surly is back in Rapid City, SD and people have gotten growler fills at liquor stores. I haven't been there so I can't say if they have cans for sure.

No Surly in Fargo, but a second store in Moorhead now has it in cans. You can always get one or more Surly brews on tap at Atomic Coffee in Moorhead (even on Sundays). As GFG said, next best place to get it is Zorbaz in Detroit Lakes. Surly never pulled out of Bridgeview/Atomic Coffee and Zorbaz because they were some of the first places carrying it and they drive down to the brewery to get it. Places in Fargo have asked and some even said they hope to get it soon but I don't expect them to until the new brewery opens.

Should we start a petition to request that the Brooklyn Center brewery becomes a sour barrel house?

    How about something like this:

They need to throw in a lot of Wisconsin Cheese to make it a fair trade, imho

Whoa...that is sorta blowing my mind! Did he say whether it was on tap or cans? I couldn't imagine cans? I've never heard of Surly anywhere in Iowa.

Hopefully, IA could spare some Toppling Goliath brews once their bottling is in full swing, in exchange for Surly!

ND? I guess they are stuck with respect!

That's a question for Clark. Though I know they recently bottled Dorthy's New World Lager and are going to bottle pseudoSue this Friday. That means we should start seeing bottles in Iowa/Wisconsin of these 2 fine beers very soon (actually, Dorthy has already hit parts of Iowa)!
