Well, I can't not have a beer on Opening Day,
so I've broken open a Hair Of The Dog Adam.

Finished the night with a Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse (say that 3 times fast). Not bad, not great. Brew day tomorrow!!! Making "The Great Babu" Nut Brown Ale. My first Homebrew.

You're right, but I am still laughing! Made me think of Jim Carey, Me, Myself and Irene: "a little crusty cheese on the taco." Funny thing is my older brother and I constantly do "your mama" jokes to one another!

And this won't help you hold off, but I had the FW 15 the next night and although I rated it high, I rated the 14 higher.

Started with 2 Nugget Nectar's and now onto a KBS then a Hopslam. Then maybe another Nugget Nectar to cap the night off. Cheers to all BA's and have Happy Easter weekend!

Just having some fun. Seriously though, awesome cheese plate. I could see some Roquefort, Brie, Roncal, Mahon, and Gorgonzola. If you throw in some Fromunda Cheese, I would go past locals $4$. If properly aged, maybe a King Henry.

Let's ignore the barley element of beer and instead focus on the branding. Sipping on this while eating unleavened bread...

Yea I have 2 of the 15's coming via trade but I've heard that before...actually getting ready to pop my 14 right now. F#@% it...I've never had it so don't see the reason in aging 2 bottles of beer I've never had before. At least that's how I talked myself into it ha ha...

It's good. The Belgian yeast influence is there, not too crazy. This is a pre-release, should be released mid-May.

Young's Double Chocolate to start. Fuller's 1845 in the glass right now...on deck...I'm thinking Oak Aged Yeti or Palo Santo Marron. Can't go wrong with either I suppose.

    Cheers!

Stopped in at Haymarket Brewery tonight and had The Goat and the Goatee, a dark Belgian ale brewed with ruby red grapefruits, maple syrup, Thai chilis and sasparilla root; A very unique and tasty collaboration between brewmaster Pete Crowley and award-winning chef Stephanie Izard of the Girl and the Goat. Followed it with the absolutely delicious Templeton Rye Barrel Aged Indignant Imperial Stout. Stopped at Girl and the Goat next door and had one delicious Lost Abbey Red Poppy Ale on tap. We headed home, and I'm currently about to sample this:

In a FIDY state of mind at the moment, though I think the pendulum is swinging toward IPAs for now. May pick up some Torpedo or Ruination tomorrow. Or Hoptimum. Heck, maybe all three.
