    Sadly, I also suffered a fatality at my birdfeeder. It usually upsets me when a songbird meets its demise, but when I see THIS happen, I can't help but feel fortunate to have witnessed it...

    I haven't identified this fellow yet, but if I had to guess I'd say it's a Sharp-Skinned Hawk getting ready to feast on that little Mourning Dove.
