How much Beat should one expect to receive if trading away a 2012 Huna? $4$ I think Huna was more per bottle, and Beat seemed to have much better availability... Would 3 Beats for 1 Huna be fair, or is it closer to 1:1? I'm a new trader so I'm kinda flying blind.

3 Beats would be $45, I like Hunah but not that much. I think I'd be willing to do 1:1 with cost made up through other stuff, but I don't actually know what Hunah cost. If it was $30 then I could see doing straight-up 2:1, but I don't think it was.

I agree with it being a lot closer to 1:1 with whatever cost if any is made up with locals or what ever.

Huna was $20 a bottle with a 2 bottle limit per person

I would do a Beat and either a Pliny or Blind Pig to make up $4$. Would not do 2 for 1.

Yeah with it at $20 that's where I am too. I'd consider 2:1 if there was some other thing the trader had I was interested in to make up the $4$.

How quickly does Huna sell out, usually? A 2 bottle limit can be significant if it sells out in a few hours, less so if it takes days.

it was gone on hunahpu day this year i believe...u needed tickets to get it initially, then it was open to buy after a certain time if there was bottles left. i wouldn't do 1:1 for my huna for a beat. thats just me. then again im not really big into wild ales

I did a trade a few days ago and it was 3:3 but I threw in a Sucaba to make up the $4$...

    Cheers!

Definitely 1 Hunahpu for 1 Beatification + $5 in locals. Sure, Hunahpu is rarer by almost all accounts, but that doesn't mean it costs any more than $20 a bottle. If you're not satisfied with the rarity of Beatification, then I'd say offer a more available CCB bottle or seek out a more limited bottle for your Hunahpu. I'm sure someone out there would take your 3 for 1 offer, but it doesn't make it equitable. Good beer for good beer and $4$ makes happy trading partners.

Hunahpu was a Brewery only releas, with wristbands given out in order to be able to get the beer. Wrist bands were gone about 4 hours before the Hunahpu was actually even being sold. There were hundreds (if not 1000+) people who showed up to Hunahpu day and did not get a single bottle. Not sure how much Beat was available, but no way I'd go 1:1 with one of my Hunahpu bottles, and I love RR sours.

Your logic makes absolutely no sense. Why would the less rare beer be the one compensating with locals for $4$? Rarity + Locals for Less Rare in Quantity... So 2 Beatifications for 1 Hunah and locals to cover $4$ makes WAY more sense.

I think it's a bit ridiculous how high peoples expectations are in terms of what they want for Beatifications which for all intents and purposes was readily available for around a week. Just because the previous tiny batch was super rare and valuable doesn't mean this one was. And I get for a lot of the people that don't live near RR, they expected it to sell out and had to take off work and plan for travel to be there release day, and that probably wasn't cheap, but you can't expect trading partners to cover your costs since you were wrong about how rare a beer would be O_O.

Yeah, but to get to RR you have to cross the gates of Mordor.

Perhaps, but they also cannot argue that Hunahpu's:
    - Had a substantially smaller allocation when you consider most people keep at least 1 to drink for themselves.
    - Cost more
    - Had a lower overall bottle count
    - Was available for only 1 day and sold out.

There is a reason we don't see people trading a BCBS Rare for an Abyss + Locals or a Kate the Great going for a KBS + Locals.

Edit: Also forgot, Hunahpu's bottle is nearly twice as big as Beats.

Those two examples are asinine because the cost, difficulty to acquire, and desirability are way different. Regardless, I've traded Beat 1:1 with both Kate and Hunahpu, and got Rare with $60 worth of Pliny. You can do all kinds of weird trades because people have different ideas of the value of things.
