What beer are you drinking now? #187

Sipping on this guy for a bit. Very much enjoying this brew!

 

I really like it. I've never had either of the Deschutes beers, but loved the Adam and Fred.

For the $ I could have had a Fred and Adam though.

Definitely in my top-10 non-BA stouts.

 

I'm not the biggest Old Guardian fan out there. I figured I'd try this one. I get a lot of smoke, a bit of oak, and the rest of the typical flavor. It's pretty good, but I probably won't buy any more.

 

Finishing off the last of my winter brews. Gonna miss Wake n Bake.

Torpedo is gone. I have a Honkers and a Sam Octoberfest left. Nuthin but me and my extensive Itunes left. Woe is me. sum cheep Canadian whiskey too. woe unto me.

Great night tonight! Started with a gluten free Steadfast Golden Blonde (not even sure if its really been released yet, go Jeremy!), onto a Dieu du Ciel Derniere Volonte, Great Lakes Elliot Ness, a Two Hearted, Bruery Smoking Wood, followed by a very old (old label, pre 2008) Yeti( angels singing on this one). Strip steaks, twice baked potatoes, salsa verde, tomato/corn salad, broccoli for dinner. Tasty beer night for sure!

If forced to choose, Marshal Zhukov is probably my personal favorite RIS. Enjoying a 2012 paired with Castellon Triple Cream Soft-Ripened Blue Cheese and Kissel's Plum and Tarragon Jam. If you've never paired a RIS with a good blue cheese, you're missing out...
