    i like this.
i do at least 6 hours of cardio every week.
its nice to be the guy who drinks a lot of good beer on the weekends and isn't a disgustingly fat slob
oh and those monday runs are epic...all that energy from all those carbs

A mile in 15 minutes? Sounds about right for drinking that much beer.

That's a beer mile. That means that they do two laps around an indoor track, chug a beer, do two more laps, chug another beer, etc., until they do 12 laps. Then they drink another beer.

Running much like swimming is not a sport, it is a way to survive an attack from predators. Luckily I have a catapult and Baseball bat so I don't have to learn those defense mechanisms

As someone who has been a runner for over 23 years, finally attempting 1st marathon and lover of craft beers,
must admit after a hard workout of any type, great to reward myself with a fine brew.

These guys are crazy. If even run the next day after more than a few potent brews,
    I feel sluggish.

because on a typical sunday, i'll have 6-8 high gravity beers and i feel like a fuckin champ monday night when i do my workout

Didn't read the article, but back in my day a few of us did the 100 100 (miles, beers). That was a lot of work. Not with as high quality stuff as I drink now, but none the less.

I probably average 12 beers and 20 miles a week.

in college I say I easily put away 100 beers over 3 days...
and still went to swim practice 3 times a day.

Most people who attempt a beer mile do. You just try not to do it on your buddy.

Iowa State running club I've drank a beer or 12 many a times with these guys (and gals). Genuine love for beer and running. This sounds not so fun though haha.

I don't think it is an age thing. Sounds more like you are hardcore alcoholic if you think you run better the next day after drinking so much.

I think the those empty simple carbs have been burned off or stored as fat by the time you run 24 hrs later. Your body processes stuff like that very quickly. If they were complex carbs that may be a different story.

I'm the same way, I'll drink 6-8 on Sunday and usually have the best workout of the week on Monday morning.

EDIT: then again, it's probably from the two days rest I had over the weekend and the fact that I sleep like a rock Sunday night.

Yes. The rest is probably the biggest factor.
