What am I missing here? The OP indicated "Classiest Brewery." No where does it it say classiest label or best label; yet, in reading this thread it's all about the labels. Is that everyone's definition of classy? (I only ask because to me "classy" means everything from a classy product, a classy physical facility, classy employees, classy marketing, . . .you know, "classy." For example, a place like Boulevard, New Belgium, Odell, Bruery, and places like that. Shouldn't this be about more than just the label? Otherwise, wouldn't the OP just have said, "what's the classiest label.?"

I'll be quiet now. Just my 2 cents.

If a classy brewery does a collaboration brew with another brewery, does that make them less classy, more classy or about the same? Or does it depend on the classiness of the other brewery?

I tend to believe it makes them less classy as a brewery should be able to make and hold its reputation based on the beers they brew exclusively without the need of outside assistance from other breweries to 'prop up' their reputation.

Mystic here in MA has some really nice and classy bottles if I'm honest. I doubt most people outside of MA have ever seen them though.

Well, to be fair, some people have talked about business practices, community involvement, etc. I deliberately left it open to interpretation. And it's not surprising that many people perceive a brewery's classiness (or lack thereof) through the prism of packaging and marketing; after all, aside from the beer itself, that's probably the brewery's most direct form of expression.

I've never been to Firestone Walker, but I absolutely love their bottles and packaging. I have to imagine that their facility is equally impressive.

However, I have to put a nod in for Brewery Vivant. Their beers are top notch renditions of classic Belgian ales that are frequently paired with Belgian cuisine, they were the first LEED certified micro-brewery in the nation, and the brewery is in an old, remodeled chapel. Just look at it:

I'm a huge fan of church architecture, stained glass, and anything that even smells of Renaissance Europe, so to me, this screams class.

I'd second Toppling Goliath. The beers they make are incredible and the people that work there even more so.

Hahaha good stuff. I just had Parbola for the first time this past weekend and it lived up to the hype IMO.

BCTC is one of the most badass beer festivals though. Much agreed there :grinning:

In general, I like "beer bottle art". I've found myself burning 30 minutes just standing in Binny's/BevMo looking at labels. Some are really quite creative and cool. Some have that classy look and feel. Some are just plain funny. It's really hard to pick for me - there are so many.

I like Mission's beers and especially their Dark Seas bottle. I also like the Lost Abby. Their beers impress me and I like their labels. Flying Dog's labels crack me up.
