I'm very excited (and a little surprised) to see The Bruery sending its beers up to Alberta. However, thinking about the prices made me lose a little excitement. How much do you pay for some of their beers in the US?

Just checked, looks like we're getting White Oak, Mischief and Sour in the Rye.

This is pretty accurate for IN, though Oude Tart went for $25 and Fruet went for an outrageous $37 (though apparently that's the norm on that one).

Yeah, be willing to fork over 30+ for those anniversary beers and the like. idk, but they are darn good.

Ouch. Pretty sure Oude Tart was around $22 and Fruet was $32 (still worth it). Smoking Wood was also around $22, although I got one bottle for around $10 due to an apparent pricing error. Sour in the Rye also around $20. And I thought everything in Seattle was more expensive than in the Midwest...

Distro is a bit more selective and less predictable for The Bruery at least in Ohio at times, some stores know when/how to gauge you.

Given how much I make, I cannot justify spending $30+ on a single bottle. Just can't do it. I don't care how good the beer is.

Their beers are good but over priced to me. They are always a bit one note.

So i'm probably going to be looking at $30-40 in Canada. Which will put it as a very rare purchase alongside Cantillon which is around that price.

Spending $18 today on Parabola was a nice lil treat. I just, in my right mind, couldn't justify doing that shit all of the time. I also live about 20 minutes from the Bruery though, so I get a lot of things on tap...

well as long as you don't currently reside within a cardboard box, I feel its a worthwhile endeavor, just damn good beer, good sours, an unbelievable BA stout, they make me happy.

Even if yo make absolute bank that is still a bit ridiculous to me, idk maybe down the road I will drop that kind of cash on something but right now I'm with you that's crazy.

Oh, I absolutely agree. Even if I was rolling in it, I would still have a very hard time shelling out that much money for beer. It lets breweries know that these are acceptable prices for something inclusive that has in recent years become far too exclusive. I'm not down with that.

Its also hard to overlook the huge amount of great beers that are about 10% of the price.

Couldn't agree more. While I've honestly enjoyed everything I've had from the Bruery -- and not everything is way overpriced (Mischief is both delicious and more than fair as far as price is concerned) -- what do we expect from a brewery that charges $300 a year just to guarantee that you can then dump big $$$ on their limited releases?

Standards (Saison Rue, basic seasonals) are around $10, special beers (Tart of Darkness, Sour in the Rye) are around $20, and barrel aged beers (anniversary series) can be around $30-40.

I head over to Ohio to get their stuff and pay like $10-12 for their year round and seasonal stuff and like, $16-18 for things a little less often than that. I'm willing to pay that price for most of it considering the quality.

I don't care about beer prices 95% of the time. That being said, I have paid 12-32 bucks for Bruery beers ranging from year round offerings to the Oude Tart/Tart of Darkness/Fruet/Cuir/Smoking Wood/Xmas vertical beers etc, with no remorse whatsoever. Letspour has gotten my business a lot recently since they don't distro around here in MI.

I hate to be "that guy" but any highly regarded beer is worth one try/review IMO, and that's how it goes in my cellar.
