Sad news! Damn that responsibilty thing....

So is everything still good to go at Muddy Waters? We're not going to walk in there, bottles in hand, and be greeted by strange looks and obscene language, are we?

I'll be there! Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new BA's.

Everything should be cool. I was going to call and double check with them but we have had a number of bottle shares there before.

    Yea, is this still on?

Where is the free parking in Uptown? Been a few years since I have been in that area.

Streets off of Lyndale and Lake are free. Think the lot behind Lyndale Tap House is only 50 cents an hour or something cheap like that.

Seems a lot of people forgot about this and with no clear plan, only a few of us showed. Met Ol_Johnny and a buddy of his, shared a couple of beers, ate some food, and shot the breeze. Enjoyed meeting you guys and hope to see you at other events.

*Important information*. Muddy Waters will no longer allow bottle shares/tastings at their establishment. The owner sat down with us and explained that the city of Minneapolis does not allow such things. Seems corkage only applies to wine and not to beer so these sort of private events will no longer be tolerated. Great guy and wished he was allowed to do such things, but it was out of his hands. He asked that we pass this message along.

Though I have not been to New Bohemia's Sunday night bottle share yet, how are they able to do that then...? Hopefully it's one of those things that "No one's got to know 'bout it."

Why would they allow corkage on wine, but not beer? Makes no sense.
