Karbach all inclusive thread

Austin update: The Growler Room in Austin posted that Karbach has some Hopadillo Black IPA & Roshambo waiting for them to pick up once their current kegs kick (Rodeo Clown, Hopadillo IPA, and Sympathy for the Lager).

 

Good to see y'all getting some Karbach goodness.

 

So I should setup a pre trade with you then? Heh

 

Haven't had Doom to tell you.

 

Doom is totally different.

Bodacious has way more wine character, Doom is bourbon. I like both but prefer Doom.

 

Oh, that's right. Bodacious was in wine barrels. Agreed, doom was fantastic

I don't get why F.U.N. 005 is coming out before F.U.N. 004? lol

 

I'm sure I'm missing something, but why not just call this one fun 004 and the next 005? Don't think anyone knew what they were supposed to be anyway so no one would know/care...

 

TABC label approval. FUN004 was already approved. No turning back!

 

Us beer knerds would have known and cared.

I can see why they may have done it, because it is the same at FUN003. People not in the know, probably would have gotten pissed thinking Karbach is trying to pull one over on them. Making the same beer, then releasing it as two different beers in the FUN series back to back.

I haven't seen anything saying it is the same beer as FUN003, but I haven't seen anything saying it isn't the same beer as FUN003. Honestly, I'm happy either way. It's a good beer, and anytime I can get my hands on more bourbon barrel aged goodness I'm happy.

Just a little Little Woodrow's pimping. The Little Woodrow's in the Heights will be doing a Karbach Tap TakeOver Thursday May 16th, for American Craft Beer Week. Lineup will include Rochambo, El Hopadillo Negro, Bourbon Barrel Hellfighter, Love Street, and new soon to be released Imperial IPA

 

With info like that and the fact that it's in the Heights..... Pimp away my man, Pimp away lol

 

Through a happy accident, I was able to get a few extra bottles of BBA Hellfighter a couple weeks ago from a friend. Very happy to have them and looking forward to comparing them to FUN 005. Those kids at Karbach are becoming my favorite Texas brewery!

 

Just saw a tweet from the "specs_beer_dept" handle on twitter saying they were "setting up" Hop Delusion?

Anyone know if that means it's on the shelves for sale? Do I need to swing by smith street on my way home? Appreciate any confirmations before I waste my time....

Or did I just make the fatal mistake of alerting the hoarders?...

 

I heard this earlier. I didn't head that way or anything, and if you go and there's none there, just get some good bourbon or Scotch, and you'll be alright. At least that way it wouldn't be a waste of time.

 

Their single barrel Buffalo Trace is well worth buying at Spec's.

 

real hoarders knew it the second it was tweeted.

 

I asked them about this on Twitter and they replied, "set up comes first...still a week or so out."

 

I'm pretty sure it has to do with setting up the SKU in their system so they can sell the beer.
