What are people doing with a case of each? That seems over the top greedy to me. It's quite limited I would rather more people get a shot at it. How long before this shows up at certain drinking establishments or other liquor stores besides Julios? I'll bet that's some of what's happening. It's sad.

 

Not really related to Framinghammer, but when I was there today I elected to go on a "tour" since I had time to kill and had never been there before. Anyways, I couldn't help but notice their production wipe board and started studying it for all the "secrets" it contained. Of particular note was the monthly specials section (most of them we've seen, but not all) and the "Lager Ideas" section. There were some very interesting sounding ideas that, based on their track record, I'm sure would be great. I thought about writing them down and sharing, but then I didn't want to blow up their spot and start talking about beers that may or may not ever exist. Sorry for being such a tease, but there's even more reasons to be excited about this brewery

 

Not sure. I was a little worried about looking like an asshole for buying 4 of each, but then I saw people filling up cases and I quickly stopped caring. 2 of each for me and sending all 3 Framinghammer variations to two friends. I don't even know what I'd do with 20 bottles of the stuff

 

Drink it!

 

Some of the things I've seen on that board have sounded absolutely awesome.

 

Ha, I'm guessing that was me. FWIW, not all of those are for me. Figured I'd get some for friends/family before the case-buyers descended.

 

I ended up grabbing 10 of each. Just finishing up a Coffee, had the Vanilla earlier. Both are great but I loved the Vanilla so much more.

Oh, no worries. I got 12 myself. I wasn't shining a light on you. Would I have loved to have gotten more? Sure, but I had a $ amt. in mind and stuck with it.

 

I have no idea and I hope not. Like I said before, I can't fault them. With no limits set, people are going to take advantage of it. That's the way it goes. JA makes great beer and this is no different. Considering it's a limited release I'd suspect it will be quite useful on the trade market. FWIW I've never shipped beer to trade or bought for that purpose. What I bought is for me to enjoy and share with friends and family. Truly awesome to have such a great brew co. like Jack's Abby in our backyard. Drink local.

 

Neither have I. Maybe that's why I find it so annoying. I get the allure of trading but I still think buying in that quantity is over the top greed.

 

holy shit. i guess i should have bought more so i could win some trades right? man. well, it's fucking awesome. that's all i'll say. tried them both. i think i like the vanilla better, but not sure.

 

This sounds really good - especially the Vanilla. I enjoyed the regular BA Framminghammer quite a bit. Unfortunately I wont be able to make it Saturday so If anyone is interested in trading for BCBS or anything available in NYC, let me know.

 

also, anyone else think Julios is going to be an unmitigated disaster on Saturday?

 

After people read about how the brewery sold 40 cases in a few hours? You can bet on it

 

yeah. welp. everyone enjoy 2013, the one year you could get Barrel-Aged Framinghammer on the shelves. still kicking myself for buying only 6 bottles of the base. could drink it for daaaaaaays.
