Flavorful session beers?

Of most session beers I try, they tend to be to mild tasting. I often prefer to slowly drink a higher abv beer with more flavor. But then you deal with the problem of them warming. And I mostly drink session IPAs, so cold is good.

Any recommendations for a more flavorful session beer?

Founders All Day IPA, although I'm not sure if you have access to it.

Stone Levitation is by far the best sessionable beer I have had (haven't had All Day).

Many saisons and wheat beers have low alcohol content. They're refreshing and easy to drink as well.

Not an IPA but I could drink Goose Island's Honkers Ale all day long...plenty of flavor IMO.

Notch Brewing in MA makes some excellent session beers. I recently had their Polotmavy Lezak, which is very flavorful and low ABV. I have a bottle of their Tafelbier which I will drink soon:slight_smile:

My favourites right now are Deschutes River Ale (really impressed with this one!), and pretty much all of the variations of Little Dog from HotD (unfortunately only available at the taproom). All of these guys pack in a lot of flavor with a low ABV.

Also, I haven't had it in a while, but remember Wasatch's Polygamy Porter being a solid brew at 4%.

Oh, almost forgot Avril from Dupont. That stuff is AMAZING and only 3.5%! Unfortunately, it comes in the green bottles, so I'll usually only get it if I can find it on tap.

I'll second Victory's Swing Session Saison. 4.5% ABV, and great flavor.

I like Brooklyn Pennant Ale as well (about 5% I believe) with decent pale ale flavor and something you can enjoy.

Lagunitas Daytime. Same idea as All Day, but I prefer it. Seasonal, but I think All Day is too (or at least it used to be.)
